Speaking of this dumb fuckin' ass state, my street is in a weird armpit of zoning. It's outside the city limits but not really part of the town adjacent to me. So I'm not entirely sure who handles things that get done to maintain it, but, whatever. It exists and one of them is going to be putting new paving down shortly and that's rad. Thing is, my wife found out today that we do qualify in Marana to get in line for the vaccine. I met all the criteria and my zip code qualified for being in one of the areas surrounding Tucson. And now I have an appointment this Thursday afternoon for the motherfucking vaccine! The state and county sites were not helpful and came back with an April-maybe answer. But she dug around and found it! The only day that still had openings was Thursday. So it was lucky damn timing. I just wish she could get hers the same day. My wife is awesome.

You do not want to get your vaccines on the same day. If one or both of you takes it hard, the other needs to be okay to look after the other one/keep the house from burning down.

Just got home with a bright pink band-aid on my arm and a date in a month for the second shot! The mental release of actually going through this was almost overwhelming. I felt so much stress of the last year slough off while I was sitting in the car waiting before they allowed me to leave. Fuck yeah.

God. Fucking. Dammit.
My wife just told me her boss's new geriatric "doctor" asked him today about his vaccine. He still hasn't been able to get one and she told him, "It's just as well. I've had 7 patients die from it." Also said she has colleagues whose patients have died from being vaccinated. So now bossman's not going to get it. He's 85. He followed that by telling my wife he doesn't want to go back to this doctor, and it's because she told him his blood pressure was high and he didn't want to believe that. Swear to Christ we're the dumbest species to ever live on this planet.
So another q-tard raises her dumb fucking head. If 7 patients of hers had really died, not to mention the others she tacked on, this absolutely would have been international news. Whichever vaccine it was would have been stopped immediately from distribution and investigations aplenty would be ongoing. No. She's a goddamn liar who shouldn't have anything to do with dispensing care and information to anyone.

My wife managed to find a 3-second window in the reservation mayhem to get in line and we went to get her first shot yesterday. She's scheduled to get her second in 3 weeks, so I'll be getting mine the Thursday before and hers on Sunday. Totally different locations completely across town from each other, but that's just fine. It was getting really ugly since that cuntass motherfucker, Ducey, opened Arizona, and it didn't look like she'd have a chance until May.
It's still likely that we're going to let the virus outrun out vaccination efforts, because of the whole stupidest nation thing we own. But the relief of at least doing all we can might make having to do this all again for another year slightly more bearable. Well, except for the million more who may die, any of us among them.
Birx (never referring to her as a doctor) should rot in prison for her utter dismissal of her Hippocratic Oath. She is as guilty of the hundreds of thousands dead as the rapist and the rest of his cult. She swore allegiance to the cult and now wants to iron over her complicity. She is the poster child for tacit culpability. Every day she stayed silent she's guilty of murder.

Indiana opened up vaccines for adults over 30 this morning, so I've been trying to get mine scheduled. So far the earliest date I've seen available is April 26. I think I'll feel better if I schedule any appointment I can get, and then change it if something opens up sooner.

Exactly. Keep checking, even if there was nothing and you got up to pee. They pop up at all random times for a few minutes before filling again. Some dude on Nextdoor was looking for maskless business recommendations. Hie question was fine. But he followed it with a P.S. calling anyone who might respond otherwise as bitter and to just be quiet. Snarky cunt. Normally I avoid that site and those people, but this guy asked for it. So I responded with this: Hi, Mike. Maybe labeling everyone with whom you disagree as "bitter" rather than trying to understand, or simply accept, another viewpoint only created the inevitable detour to your own question. Your first paragraph was fine, and if you'd left it at that you'd have made a positive effort. Your postscript was nothing more than provocative gaslighting. Words are important, and quite often the words we choose not to say are as important as those that we do. I don't have any reccs for you yet. But I do hope you get exactly what you're asking for.

Mrs. Griffin got her second Pfizer vaccine Saturday. I just got my first this afternoon. I'm a bit nervous #2 is going be harder to schedule if this county opens up eligibility by then, by the Health Department isn't run by idiots, so they would likely be sure they have the infrastructure in place by then.

Here they make the second appointment while you're getting the first. I know that wasn't the case originally, and everyone had to fight to get in line for the second, even harder than their first a lot of the time. I hope you get yours easily.
Here, it was a lack of people that prolonged the chaos. One woman yesterday was from the Forest Service firefighting team, and she was saying how they were enlisted to help. It was a very smooth operation. Hundreds of cars down there, but it was totally under control and running without a hitch.

Well, this is fun. I woke up this morning with what appears to be a mild allergic reaction: mild itching pretty much everywhere EXCEPT the injection site along with around eight or so very small hives, as well as a mild sore throat (but no real feeling like it's "closing"). The CDC site warns about severe and mild allergic reactions that happen within four hours. This was more like twelve or sixteen hours, so I didn't know what the fuck to do aside from take an antihistamine and call my allergist, who will call me back tomorrow. I'd prefer to get a second shot if I can, but I'd also prefer to avoid anaphylaxis if I can, too, so we'll see.

Better today. A lot better. I have an appointment with my allergist this afternoon, so we'll see what he says about my experience and shot #2.
Edit: So, he thinks I'm fine to get my second shot and that I probably have no greater chance of having a severe allergic reaction to it than anybody else. That my reaction wasn't severe and that it didn't seem to even really begin until at least twelve hours after the shot gives him MUCH less cause for concern than if it had been severe or if it had occurred within four or even eight hours. There was no sign of anaphylaxis, and it seems very unlikely that will happen with the second shot. He prescribed an epi-pen (generic) just in case I need it (he thinks it'll go unused, but it should make me feel better to have it), and if I do have another reaction, which he thinks could just as easily be milder than stronger, I should take antihistamines, and I'll get through it. And I'll be fully vaccinated against Covid 19.

That's all good.
Woman at work got her first yesterday and told me she woke up with a mild case of hives on her chest. Nothing aside from that fortunately.

I'm glad evangelicals are hastening their rapture porn fantasy by refusing to be vaccinated. Sooner they're gone, we can work on destroying all religion.

True. Without enough people being reasonable and intelligent adults, the pridefully stupid and truly godless scumbags kill even more of us who are doing our best to do this right. Ain't right. But that's America.

My uncle and my grandmother just died of covid in January. My mom got sick because she was in a long term care facility. She lived. Then my aunt got sick. She got over it. Now my sister and my neices and nephews have it. This is a real thing and the fucking assholes who deny it should burn in the darkest pits of Hell.

Sorry for that.
If we stay at the percentages of vaccinated that we have now, we'll never get out from under this virus. Too many people have been convinced not to participate because we are the dumbest species to ever exist.

Condolences.
I made my appointment for Pfizer #2 today. Nervous but excited.
And I hate to say it, because that shit should NOT be necessary, but more places besides Krispy Kreme should be giving out free goodies to people with vaccine cards to encourage them to actually get vaccines. Imagine what would happen if McDonalds joined them and gave away free fries or McNuggets.

Got my second on Friday, taking Mrs. down later today for her second. Half the adults in the US are vaccinated. Frankly, I'm amazed it's that high. I wonder how much time before it's announced those of us who took it will have to get regular boosters every 6 months because the rest of us just want to kill and die so that we can eat at Cracker Barrel and tip 5% and call it freedom, like backwards fucking morons otherwise known as anti-America Americans.

Got Pfizer #2 this afternoon and am currently in the process of riding out my second allergic reaction. It's pretty much like the first (itchy skin) except it came MUCH earlier. No signs of anaphylaxis so far, but I have a generic Epi pen and that damn thing will not be more than ten or so feet away from me for the next 48 hours. Beats getting sick and dying.

Hopefully it's milder through the rest.
Mrs. came home today right after getting to work. She felt soreness in her shoulder last night but not sick. She had nothing at all after her first shot, not even a sore spot. Woke up feeling bad and it got a bit worse throughout the afternoon. She had a nap around 10 and has been weak and lightheaded if she's up too long, but getting better.
And just think, she could've avoided it all and bought herself a blank covid vaccination card from a licensed pharmacist off of eBay and never had to get the damned "vaccine" and all the satanic spy goop inside to begin with.

The allergic reaction seemed to die down after several hours, and I woke up VERY early in the morning with a head to toe body ache and severe chills. Thankfully I have a night guard for grinding, otherwise, I'm convinced I would have chipped a tooth. The chills seem mostly gone now and the aches are improving. My shoulder is sore as hell, but that's fine. Like I said, it beats getting sick and dying. I'm sure it also beats surviving a fucking Covid infection and being left with long lasting brain damage and cardio-pulmonary issues. My brother, who is a heart attack survivor, has yet to get vaccinated, as far as I know. I should call him and tease him about it. Dare him to get a shot and call him a "bitch" if he's afraid of shit like this. I can handle it. He can fucking handle it.
