I can groove with Ebert. Don't really jibe with Holey's take often enough. At least with anything post-80s. But for the sake of entertainment, that shit should be brungeth.

I think we might be putting a little too much pressure on Holeman to hold up the various threads of the board. This A. Isn't a Holeman forum and B. should be a place for us to be spontaneous. Not trying to be a dick or anything, but we're doing fine, don't try so hard to be the Sprong board or to trump them. just relax...

^^^^^ so everybody get off holemans c-ck...lol...jus kidding Not for nothing but yeah, just back off the guy a little. I like him as much as anybody, but we don't need his opinion on everything. I mean I'm kind of expecting a "Hey Holeman, does this thing look infected to you?" thread. Seriously, please don't take this the wrong way. I love you all and in a totally inappropriate way.

I'd actually like it better if everyone just plopped down their own reviews in a new thread. The other one on Spawn is much too clumsy at this point.

I just made this one because I actually use his opinions to determine weather or not I should pluck down 9.50 on a movie. I need this thread.

The bromance is stinking up the room. Open a wind...wait! Don't touch that. It's the Window pane Jesus. We leave him as we found him... Untouched, and perfect.

"Time Stalkers" starring William Devane, John Ratzenberger, Klaus Kinski and Lauren Hutton.
This movie is William Devane's best movie. It's cheesy and tacky but awesome all in one. We get to see William Devan eat an apple and dress up in cowboy outfits shooting cap guns. This movie is a must see. ;D
Anyone besides me see Time Stalkers?

Iron Man, I never get sick of this movie, and watching Star Trek again, another movie I'll never get sick of.

I've never heard of it, but if you say it's good I'll give it a try. you only have to see it once to get "What I mean". You have to see this craptastic film for yourself. It's a kid friendly movie. It's from 1985 I think and I can't find any clips of it on YouTube otherwise I would have posted them. ;D

Alice in Wonderland- Tim Burton has finally hit his lowest point. This was far worse then Planet of the Apes. It lacks story, and characters. And pretty much everything. It's a pretty, terrible mess of a movie.

It's a pretty, terrible mess of a movie. Was it his low point, yes, is it a bad movie no. Its just too damn simple, he finally boarded the super-simple-train-for-kids, I grew up seeing movies like Beetljuice, and Edward Scissorhands. He does dark and odd very well, but bright and mellow not so much. The other area it really suffers from is that they made everything far too easy for Alice, she was never in any real danger. For a nonlinear world this was a VERY linear movie. It was definitely well done except for those issues, I was irked by Crispin Glover though. Great performance as usual but using CG on his body really looked bad. On a side note Onewing loves Burton, her favorite director and for months leading up I kept saying how I wasn't very excited, that he has to fail somewhere. Guess I was right after all.

I say it's terrible. There's zero character in the movie. No soul. No nothing. It's just...bland.

On a side note Onewing loves Burton, her favorite director and for months leading up I kept saying how I wasn't very excited, that he has to fail somewhere. Guess I was right after all. ONE of my favorite directors... he's up there on my list, but I don't know that I have a definite favorite. That being said though, I didn't think Alice was a high point in his directorial career... Not a bad movie, just not all that it could have been with Burton directing, and Depp as the Mad Hatter. The dance at the end was strange, some of the CG (Glover's body, etc) was odd to look at, and far too simple a story for a nonsensical world. I had high hopes for this one, and was slightly let down- I think he tried to hard to get that kiddie audience/rating without remembering his core fan base. A more 'grown up' Alice story for the adults would have been fantastic and would have allowed for him to have more liberty with the material. Can't have it all... c'est la vie.
