I thought the movie was excellent, but there were a number of Spike-isms (that horrible fucking tracking shot thing he loves so much and some other "artsy" shit) that I still think held it back from being even better. Adam Driver was fucking amazing, and John David Washington was very good, as well.

I can't imagine there would be anyone better suited to be a young David fucking Duke than Eric Forman. Not Topher, that was totally Forman playing Duke.

2 horrible movies. Ice Road. Neesons. It sucked so hard. It was like the makers got a grant from the Canadian government to produce an indictment against mining industry CEOs, but they also really always wanted to make an action movie where all the fight scenes take place in the cabs of semi trucks. And they just happened to run into Liam Neeson one day in whatever kind of store Canadians buy things in and Neeson didn't have enough to buy his Canadian whatever so they spotted him the cash and he agreed to do the movie as repayment.
Infinite. Marky Mark. So badly conceived and realized. No point in even giving it shit.

Black Widow 8/10
Good straight-forward story, excellent use of heavy and dark themes, great action, clever spy shit, unforced humor, and great acting from the leads and great chemistry between them. I liked this one a lot, and it might be among my top-five Marvel movies.
I have one issue, but it's as a fan of movies and movie stuff in general, and it's not something that actually detracts from the movie...SPOILERS inbound.....

I have zero attachment to Task Master, so I don't give a shit that the character's gender changed or that the character was more like a machine than a person in the story or whateverelsethefuck fanboys are complaining about, but what I do have a problem with is that Olga Kurylenko was wasted in this role. She may not be as good an actor as Scarlett Johannson, Florence Pugh, Rachel Weisz, or maybe even David Harbor, but she's still a damn good actor who played a character that should be in her early twenties at the very most (Olga is 41), and she was only on screen without the helmet (meaning that it was someone else most of the time) for maybe a minute or two total and had only one line. Almost anyone could have played that part. They could have gotten just another random 19-year-old actress like one of the widows. She had opening credit billing, too, which means Disney paid her a lot to put a bunch of make up on her and show her three times and have her say one thing. It's weird and unnecessary. Is she that desperate for work? Were the producers that desperate to have an actual Slavic actor in the movie?

WHOA HEY LOOK OUT BLACK WIDOW SPOILERS ON DECK
I thought the exact same thing. As soon as Taskmaster was revealed to be connected to Natasha's past and played by a semi-recognizable actress for this genre (this is a spy movie and she played a Bond Girl) I thought she would play a bigger role than she did. All I can figure is they're planning on using the character in more movies from here on.

Gunpowder Milkshake 6/10 This is basically a cartoony John Wick, but instead of Keanu Reeves it's Karen Gillan. This is actually a really good idea, but the execution wasn't quite there. The script needed another draft or three, and the editing was lacking in some crucial areas. For example, the fight in the bowling alley was some of the choppiest fighting I've seen since the last episode of Iron Fist I tried to watch. Fortunately after that, the fights and shootouts get better. Karen Gillan is fucking fantastic, and I really liked that her character wasn't fucking invincible. Lena Headey is great (although she sadly seems to have got collagen injections and looks like she's wearing fucking wax lips the whole time), Angela Bassett is great, Michelle Yeoh is great, Carla Gugino is great, Paul Giamatti is great, and even the little girl is great. Not good, but it could have been. It was fun, though.

This isn't so much a review as my thoughts on a movie that I've seen several times already. Inspired a bit by Gunpowder Milkshake, Mrs. Griffin and I watched The Quick and the Dead-her first time seeing it. I have kind of bizarre mixed feelings about this movie. I love Sam Raimi's typical frenetic direction, even if it's less zany than other movies he made before (and after) this; I think Gene Hackman, Russell Crowe, Leonardo DiCaprio and the rest of the supporting cast are fucking great; the story is clever; the premise is different. Almost everything works really well. It's so close to excellent. But I really don't like Sharon Stone in this (or anything, for that matter). I actually like her character, as written, but she's just awful, and I can't help but think of how much better this movie would be with Linda Hamilton or maybe Jamie Lee Curtis or Michelle Pfeiffer in the main role. But apparently, without Stone, the movie wouldn't even have been made since she co-produced the thing. I still like it. I still love it. Most of it.

The Suicide Squad No major spoilers, or it might be. I don't know. Fuck it. This was everything I wanted out of a live-action Suicide Squad movie until the last 25 or so minutes when they decide they should be heroes. It really pisses me off that WB keeps fucking this up? James Gunn's being a bit quiet about it, but he told The Hollywood Reporter that his pitch for the movie was exactly the same, except that it had a darker ending, which was changed. Seemingly because WB can't let bad buys be bad guys. If the movie's about them, they gotta be superheroes. Fuck, what a waste. At least that wasn't their purpose the whole time? I don't know. Uggh. On the upside, Margot Robbie really can be a great Harley Quinn with the (mostly) right writer and director.
