Just watched this new video. The new album is really enjoyable. Kind of a stripped down sound, more straightforward. And it's short, so there's not wasted time on noodly passages or anything.
The video gave me chills, it put a lot of weight behind a song I wasn't sure what it was about.

Been playing a lot of my old metal favorites lately in the car. Anthrax (Belladonna only), Testament, Voivod, Slayer. And some of the less-remembered stuff like Powermad, Meliah Rage, Laaz Rockit. Shit, I even have Cirith Ungol and Uncle Slam in there. From 1980.

The thrash fiesta is still going strong, but I'm working in some other less intense stuff along the way. Montrose, AC/DC (Bon Scott only), Judas Priest, Sammy Hagar, Deep Purple...

Saw this mentioned on a prog board about weird albums, and I couldn't stop listening.
Some guy recorded his roommate who was a regular sleeptalker. I dunno, I was just transfixed by it. And I love the street and traffic noise in the background. I'd like to find the LP of this.

Christ, I love this. First track from the new Opeth album coming out at the end of September.
Groovy as shit. Played it at least 10 times in a row on my headphones just now.

Kind of reminds me of some of the stuff she says but not nearly as detailed.
