This kicks at least 15 kinds of ass. The raw, powerful vocal just sends shivers down my spine every time. The whole soundtrack is really amazing. Too much overproduction in music these days. You're missing out if you skip this song and just post your own next. Fuck yes. I enjoy Gethsemane. Ted Neely was in Django Unchained!

I'm falling deeply in love with trap music.
A couple of my favorites right now:

I did not know Neely was in Duhjango. Neat!
Been going back to my guitar days and playing a lot of the instrumental albums I collected. Right now it's "Row of Crows" of off Chris Poland's "Return To Metalopolis" album. Put it out when he was with Megadeth, during the Peace Sells period.

Beck - "Morning Phase" is great. It can't touch "Sea Change" but it's a fitting upbeat companion to Beck's best work.

Anytime I listen to thrash bands lately, I wonder what kind of thrash skelly is doing.

Can't get enough of the Twin Peaks soundtrack right now. Loving this one in particular:

Pharrell's "Happy" is always a nice early morning pick me up. Been listening to that a lot lately on my way to work.

For years I've always thought I hated The Decemberists because of that O Valencia song from years ago, but it turns out I may have been wrong. I started listening to the album where Peter Buck plays on a few songs and it's damn good.
I wonder what else I never realized I was wrong about in 2006? Probably nothing.

It's a safe bet. 2006 had stupid written all over it from the start.

I listen to and enjoy Body Count but I would never describe anything they have ever done as fantastic.

Wifespar is away on family business. In 14 years we've been apart about a day at most. She won't be back until LATE Monday night. I miss her, and I can't sleep. Carnage, Venom and Spidey haven't got shit on separation anxiety. After rearranging the living room earlier tonight out of frantic, spastic separation anxiety, I've found some comfort in playing records. Crawled out of bed a bit ago and am now listening to my folks' OST LP from A Chorus Line. KISS Alive II, or The Hooters are next I think.

Been listening a lot to about half of Slipknot's new album the Gray Chapter. The whole thing is basically a tribute to Paul Gray, which is kind of ironic, because if he were still alive, I really doubt he would have let Corey fuck up so many songs with his Stone Sour shit.

Oh, I forgot: This one has intermittent softness that seems really out of place to me, but it's a kinda kickass video:

Eyedea was so fucking good.
Here Slug remembers him, acknowledging that he's not nearly as awesome. Which is pretty awesome in and of itself.
