Awesome. Even though it's inferior, you should check out Infinity War, too. If you liked Thanos, there's more of him in it, by the same creative team minus George Perez.

I've got some other recommendations for you if you love Thanos. IMO, nobody writes him better than Jim Starlin, his creator, so I suggest reading anything by him first. He had his own series that lasted a year, I think, in the early 2000s, which was really cool. The first half was written and drawn by Starlin and the second half was written by Keith Giffen (a perfect successor) and drawn by Ron Lim (my favorite artist of Thanos). The Silver Surfer trade, Rebirth Of Thanos, is good and is the direct prequel to The Infinity Gauntlet. It shows how he came back to life after The Avengers defeated him for the first time in the 70s and in contains Thanos Quest, which was a miniseries showing him collecting the infinity gems. Annihilation is awesome, probably the best Marvel crossover event of the last fifteen years and it picks up Thanos' story right where his own series left off. I'm still reading the omnibus right now. Marvel Universe: The End is pretty interesting. The whole "The End" line from Marvel was a sort of "What if" idea, designed to show you exactly how the series of each featured character would officially end, if the stories ever got that far, and each one was written by the person who had the greatest impact on the character's mythos. So, Peter David did Hulk, Garth Ennis did The Punisher, Chris Claremont did X-men, and Jim Starlin did "Cosmic Marvel". Since Starlin was writing it, Adam Warlock and Thanos became the main characters. Then the latest thing to feature him was Infinity, the crossover event by Jonathon Hickman. For a Marvel event, it was excellent. However, for a story featuring Thanos, it featured him too lightly for my tastes. It also seemed to contradict some developments that were made with the character throughout the previous stories I mentioned, which saddened me. I still need to read up on a lot of essential Thanos stories, myself. I still haven't read the original Avengers story or a few miniseries that starred him during the late nineties and early 2000s, but I plan on rectifying that soon. The series that I'm talking about are called Cosmic Powers, Infinity Crusade (the final piece of the Infinity trilogy), Infinity Abyss, and Avengers Celestial Quest. There's also an Original Graphic Novel that just came out in the last month called Infinity Revelation by Jim Starlin (the first thing he's written for Marvel in quite some time!) and I believe it takes place somewhere before the events of Infinity and it wraps up a lot of loose ends left by the myriad Thanos stories over the past twenty years. I read the first half at Barnes & Noble. I think Starlin tries to explain why Thanos has been acting out of character for all the years Starlin hasn't been writing him. Can't wait to get it.

Thanks for the Thanos notes. I picked up a couple trades, Thanos Revelation I think is one. I like how Gauntlet ended, with Thanos a farmer lol.
Going to hunt as much of the Cosmic stuff as I can. Infinity was good, but agreed that its lack of more Thanos hurt it

I like that he ended up as a farmer at the end of Gauntlet, too. He's still there at the beginning of War and that's sort of the path that his own series takes.

I have the first issue of Thanos Imperative. I didn't like the art at the time I bought it, when it first came out, so I didn't collect it. Now I regret that, because it turns out each issue is very hard to come by at a low price and I hear the story was really good, even if I might not have liked the art. I'm trying to collect almost all of Thanos' major single issue appearances and that's one of them. Blast!
