Yesterday they announced around 4 million new Marvel and Star Wars movies and shows, and the emphasized that Doctor Strange 2 will directly connect with Spider-Man 3 (maybe even both Spider-Man 3's). Which means they could be retconning ALL the old non-Disney Marvel movies into a loose continuity with the MCU multiverse.
Which also means my love for multiverse stories is about to come into conflict with my natural distaste for corporate consolidation and mergers, like a Reese's cup but instead of peanut butter it's filled with something weird like gluten-free walnut paste.

Walnut butter is naturally gluten free. Reese's Cups are also gluten free. But I get it. I've got conflicting forces in my head saying Spider-Man 3 sounds like it could be cool and others saying I know it will suck and I hate Tom Holland.

Only news I've heard that peaks my interest is Charlie Cox (at least potentially) coming back as Daredevil. Put that man back in both of his suits ASAP.

Am I the only person who didn't like Charlie Cox as Daredevil? He's a pretty good actor, but the guy can't hold an American accent for more than five seconds.

I think trying to tie other various established Marvel universes together means that no matter if it's great or ass water, it's going to be worth watching.
I liked Cox as DD, but he did have the most mixed-up ugly accent. I'm actually kinda hankering to watch all the Netflix series again.

Mrs. Griffin and I still haven't watched that last season of Jessica Jones. Once we're done with The Boys, I guess we'll move on to that for something more uplifting and pleasant.

Man, I dunno. I finally just read the first part of The Boys and was not at all entertained. I gave up when they started the new arc in Moscow.

The show changes a lot from the comics, while still staying true to the spirit of them. And unlike Game of Thrones, I think every departure has been for the better.

WandaVision is a whole bunch of fun. Goofy sitcom hijinks with some weirdness going on around the edges. They’re definitely building towards something but I sure as heck haven’t figured it out yet.
There’s a name dropped in the second episode (they put 1&2 out today) that’s clearly more than just an Easter egg, but how it connects to the trip through TV history I have no idea yet. Kathryn Hahn is hilarious as always, and Olsen and Bettany have some solid comedy chops too.
I dug it.

I've really enjoyed what I've seen so far, and my only real complaint is that we have to wait a week for more.
There was some chatter on social media about how Aaron Sorkin wants Nicole Kidman to play Lucille Ball (terrible idea) in his movie about her and Desi Arnaz, for whom he wants Javier Bardem (also a bad idea), and A LOT of people were saying "What about Debra Messing?" After seeing what Olsen can do with the comedic stuff, how expressive her face is, on top of knowing how fucking good a dramatic actress she is, I think she'd be an even better Lucille Ball than Debra Messing.

Kidman can't even move her face anymore due do all the cosmetic surgery she's had done. How the hell do they think she can pull off Lucy?
I enjoyed the first two episodes of wandavision but I do hope then get to the over reaching plot of the show sooner than later.
Olsen is strikingly beautiful. Like, just mesmerizing to look at.

Haven't seen it, but it looks to me like Wanda's trying to bring Vision back from the dead and this schizoverse of pop culture - again, just what I've seen in the trailers - will advance through TV decades as he is closer to being reanimated. Or whatever. Or I could shutup and get Disney+.

Kidman can't even move her face anymore due do all the cosmetic surgery she's had done. How the hell do they think she can pull off Lucy? I think it's more of a case of Aaron Sorkin wanting to work with people so badly, that he's blinded by their limitations. "Nicole Kidman, you're...female. You'd be perfect to play Lucille Ball. And Javier Bardem! Even though Desi Arnaz was a reasonably good looking guy with a tenor voice, and you have a deep bass voice and look as much like a potato as you do a man, you speak Spanish, so I think you'd be perfect for Desi Arnaz. Neither of you have ever proven to have a shred of comedic talent whatsoever, but that's okay. My movie won't be funny, and my comedies never really have been anyway."

Yeah, Bardem would only work as Arnaz if Arnaz was somehow transformed into Frankenstein's monster.

Yeah, Bardem would only work as Arnaz if Arnaz was somehow transformed into Frankenstein's monster. He'll always be Anton Chigurh to me. "Call it".

I hope they treat all of their angsty origin stories as well-established and just plow ahead with them having been stuck in the Mojoverse for 30 years or whatever. And they can add Longshot! Excited to see actual costumes instead of fucking leather and latex cenobite evening wear.

The WandaVision finale? I thought it was great. The ending had as much closure and open-endedness as any other MCU movie.

SPOILERS
DON'T READ FURTHER UNLESS YOU WATCHED
I WARNED YOU
My biggest issue was the way they dealt with "Pete" seemed too much like holding back, almost like an executive said, "wait, don't do that." There were a lot of things opened and then just kind of dropped instead of continued as a tease. I'm not asking for him to say "My name is Peter Maximoff, but the rest of the X-Men call me Quicksilver. I'm from another universe." I would have been totally happy with some short bit where Agent Wu knocks on his door... Wu: Mr. Bohner, I've been worried about you. Pete: Ha ha. Bohner. Wu: Will you please stop doing that? Pete: Only if you stop calling me that. Wu: Now, you know I can't do that yet.
Also, I assume that Wanda was astral projecting there at the end, drinking tea and relaxing while frantically reading the Darkholde at the same time. I also assume the second Wanda that didn't appear to have legs was the projection, but it wasn't that clear, I had to watch it a couple times to be more clear, and there are a number of Youtubers who disagree on which Wanda was physically present or even why there were two Wandas in that cabin.

SPOILERS
I was let down in regards to Peter's origins, as well. It was kind of a dick move to do another multiverse tease that turned out to be bullshit after they already did that in Far From Home and so close to In The Multiverse Of Madness, which they've told us spins right out of WandaVision. That being said, I still enjoyed the finale a lot. By not introducing us to too many new concepts for the future of the MCU (they did enough with the origin of Photon), it was able to remain focused on the character story they were telling. The Scarlet Witch costume was totally badass and earned, the philosophy debate between Visions was great, and the final scene between her and Vision was touching. I love the hell out of how they wrote Vision in this series.

Disney figured out the obvious and realized the pandemic won't be over by May and will put Black Widow on Disney+ (for an extra $30) on July 9.
