Loved it. Smartly constructed to lower the scale of the stakes slowly in a way that didn't make it seem small at all when we got there. And then they built things back up in the end to elevate the stage that Spidey normally works on so that he can pretty much work at whatever level they want him to.
The tie-ins with previous events to create this story were pretty damn genius.

Far From Home was fantastic! Honestly, I liked Homecoming slightly more, only because of the personal connection between Vulture and Spidey, but Far From Home is a worthy sequel and a perfect follow up to Endgame. I think it had the best two credit stingers since the first Iron Man and Avengers. Man! I'm so hyped for the next Spider-man movie and also to see what they do with that other twist...

Yeah, I was just barely able to tolerate fat thor in EG, I kept waiting for him to turn back in to his normal self.
I wouldn't want him like that in another film. He can keep the sweet hair and beard though.

He's a god, he'll just decide to be not fat and it'll be a good CG gag scene.

I’m ridiculously pumped that the Shang Chi movie is bringing the REAL Mandarin. I don’t even have a strong attachment to that character or anything, they’ve just been pulling on that string since 2008 and it’s cool that they aren’t abandoning it.
And holy shit, bringing out Mahershala Ali for the Blade announcement was such a mic drop moment.

Agreed on Doctor Strange ITMOM! That's the one I'm also most hyped for. But Blade is a close second. Loved Mahershala Ali in Luke Cage and I think he's a great choice. I wonder if the movie will at all reference the as-of-yet unmentioned TV shows, Cloak And Dagger, Agents Of SHIELD, Runaways, and The Defenders. Or if he'll at all see a glimpse of anything Spider-verse related. I really hope so. I was kinda hoping for that kind of stuff in Far From Home and it was one of my only disappointments with that movie.
So, WandaVision will lead directly into Dr. Strange ITMOM, which makes more more interested.
Thor: Love And Thunder will feature Natalie Portman as Jane Foster becoming Thor, which I'm fucking hyped about because A. I thought Natalie Portman was underused in the first two movies and also thought she was done with the MCU B. Thor: Ragnarok was one of my favorite MCU movies and I can't wait to see more Taiki Thor and C. The Jason Aaron/Russel Dauterman run of Jane Foster as Thor is so excellent and I can't believe they're making a movie of it!
I'm also happy they're doing The Mandarin again for the same reason OKC said.
Falcon And The Winter Soldier will bring back Zemo as the villain, which is awesome. I really liked that guy as Zemo and I'm hoping it sets up a future Thunderbolts series, because I loved that comic. Sharon Carter will also return, which is great because I really like her in the Brubaker run of Captain America and she deserved more screentime.
The things I'm not that excited for, but that may change with trailers, are Hawkeye, Eternals, and Black Widow.

I’ve never read the original Jack Kirby Eternals series but the miniseries Neil Gaiman and Romita Jr did a while back was really great. Inquiring minds should track it down and read it.

I appreciate that it appears they aren't going to be building another massive decade event (yet) and trying to flex some more esoteric muscle with the titles. I may just be hungover still from Endgame, but I'm not feeling much for any of them yet. Not that I don't care, I just need a minute to breathe. And I really can't stand Portman, so that'll be a pass for me. That's also a fuckton of movies in 2 years. Dayum.

It's five movies in two years (the others in that pic are shows for Disney +), and ten movies in four years, from what I've been reading.

5 movies in 2 years is actually them scaling things back. They’ve done 3 a year since 2017.

So, unsurprising to no one, Florence Pugh is indeed playing Yelena Bulova in Black Widow. David K Harbour is playing Alexei Shostakov (Red Guardian), and apparently, the main villain will be Taskmaster. Rachel Weisz is playing a character named Milena, who is a Red Door veteran, and there is still no word if Julie Delpy will return as Madam B.

Endgame officially beat Avatar, so congratulations to Disney for one of their previously acquired assets beating a record set by their most recently acquired asset. Corporate consolidation is fun!
