Just watched the season finale of Green Lantern. I absolutely love the show. It's hands down the best GL to be in a tv/film medium. The show is comparable to the quality of BTAS. I really hope to see many more seasons and more of the GL lore get fleshed out...hopefully culminating in the Blackest Night.

Posted a mini review in the Movie Review thread. I'll try to put a more in depth review here soon. May watch it again beforehand to refresh the awesomeness in my mind.

I would have preferred Michael Ironside, but I'm fine with it.

Gah! Can't watch it at work. Stupid Flash player. The fact that they're splitting this into two movies is a good sign. The thing that bugs me the most with these animated adaptations is that they always seem rushed, so an epic two part, 3-hour "Dark Knight Returns" sounds like the right way to go. I'm also surprised they haven't done "Red Son" yet. That seems like a no-brainer.

^^ I'm with you there. The longer the better. I would have preferred Michael Ironside, but I'm fine with it. That would have been so awesome. Me I personally was hoping for Michael Keaton but I'll save that option for old Bruce in a Batman Beyond movie. Last night I was playing Arkham City with the Dark Knight Returns skin and was talking with my friend about how sweet it would be if the voice changed to Michael Ironside when you use that skin.

After BUYING the first one and being so disgusted with how badly Pete Weller's voice fits the character and how they cut some of my favorite shit out and how crappy the animation was, I think I'll download that one.

BJ's has a bunch of the DCAU flicks for $3.99. I picked up All-Star Superman. Others I noticed were New Frontiers and Crisis On Two Earths, but I think there were others too.

I finally got around to watching "Dark Knight Returns Part I", and it was surprisingly great. Splitting that book into two movies was definitely the right move, and this one covers the first two chapters basically beat-for-beat. It's kind of a shame they left out the internal monologue narration device, since that's where a lot of the best lines in the book come from, but it's still a solid adaptation. Robocop makes a great Batman. But still, as good as this movie is, it's still not as good as the Frank Miller segment of the "Legends of the Dark Knight" episode of the animated series.
