I like Thor 2 better than Age of Ultron and Civil War. Is it a better movie? Not really, no. I still like it more. And I do think it's a better movie than Iron Man 2 and 3, but that's a low bar.

Iron Man 3 is so fucking boring I fell asleep four times trying to watch it. I have never made it all the way through and only finished the film by watching it in chunks.

I watched Iron Man 3 a few months ago, and it's better than I remembered. Tony's PTSD arc is handled really well in that movie, I like how they included the Extremis story from the comics, I even like the bait & switch they pulled with the Mandarin. And the bit where he infiltrates the Mandarin's compound with an ultra low-tech suit gives some serious old-school MacGyver vibes and I love it.
The best action sequence in that movie is Tony's mid-air rescue of the passengers from Air Force One, but the end of that scene where they reveal that Tony was remotely controlling the suit is a moment I really don't like. It plays into his PTSD with the reluctance to actually be in the suit, but for some reason it doesn't quite work.

I put this in the DC movies thread, but I'll summarize here. We have to wait for a functioning society to see Wonder Woman 1984, so Warner Brothers can release it in theaters worldwide (including here). So...never. Too bad. It looks really good.

What I've watched has made me feel like I have a mouthful of crackers without any water. Insomnia might be the one I could say I found worth the time.

Every Batman movie Nolan made is overrated as fuck. I wasn't impressed with Insomnia, either. I did like Inception, but not enough to buy it or anything.

I really liked The Prestige but I haven't seen many of his movies. The first two Batman movies were solid when I saw them in the theater but if I try watching them now they bore me to tears.

I know it's not explicitly stated or even implied until the sequel (and prequel) books that the Harkonnens typically have red hair, and it's something with which Lynch went quite overboard (Feyd is supposed to have dark hair, for example), but I was kind of looking forward to seeing Dave Bautista with crazy red hair.

I've actually never read Dune. It's one of those books that's been on my list for years but I never got around to it.
There are already rumors that the movie will have its release delayed, so there's probably enough time for me to read the book when the movie finally comes out sometime in 2022.

I definitely wasn't the target audience for the original movie, and I am ABSOLUTELY not the target audience for the reboot, but I still kind of like The Craft. I never thought it was particularly good, but there's no denying that movie had a lot of personality. This seems to have none.

Bummer, but the right call. Although it kinda sucks that the rest of the world has to wait to see these movies just because our stupid country can't its shit together.

It just occurred to me that with a new Space Jam movie to push Looney Tunes back into the pop-culture forefront, we're going to have to endure a new generation of mullet-headed doofuses and their girlfriends slapping stickers on their trucks and getting bad tattoos of Taz like they're each the first one to ever do it.

I can't wait to see more women wearing oversized white tshirts with a huge picture of Tweety Bird giving the finger and right above it in huge pink letters it says BITCH. I miss that level of class.

Am I the only one who finds the complete utter dearth of Looney Tunes collectibles over the last ten years or so weird as fuck? Aside from Funko shit, I don't think I've seen anything out there that anybody would put on their desk or shelf since DC Collectibles short-lived line. Mezco was supposed to make an 18" 1940 (42 is a more iconic looks, but it doesn't matter anyway) Bugs Bunny statue a few years ago, but it fell through.

I don't need (or want) to see any more trailers for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings or Halloween Kills (not posting the new trailers because the Halloween Kills one kind of looks like one of those trailers that's a synopsis of the whole fucking movie, and I'm too tired to post the Shang-Chi one). I am 100% in for both movies.

The last Halloween movie was pretty solid so I'll probably check out the new one but couldn't give two shits about Shang-Chi.

I'm in a clear minority of people that really didn't like the last Halloween movie, and the new one looks like more of the same. Cool for people who liked the reboot but I'm gonna skip it.

I really didn't like the whole subplot with the evil doctor, but that wasn't all that big a part of the movie, so I overlook it.

I would've liked the subplot with the true-crime podcast hosts making an episode about Michael Myers, but the movie kills those characters and abandons that story without doing anything interesting with it at all.

Eh they served their purpose. Just a couple of annoying red shirts that instigate Michael to start killing again.
The shit with the doctor though was just random and went absolutely nowhere.

So they've announced a new Transformers movie. Since it's supposedly going to focus on Optimus and also involve Beast Wars in some way my interest is piqued. Personally I'd rather just have a War for Cybertron movie. I fucking love the two games High Moon made.
