Since you guys have completely written this movie off already, can you post a link to the script you've obviously read, or at least the trailer you saw? First one ate my runny pucker, nothing to follow shall rise higher.

Let me say I'm not saying this movie is a guarantee. It'll make a shitton of money, and it'll be cool to see Bats and Supes in the same movie. But the only thing that makes me wary is that it seems so crowded already. Way too many characters to introduce in one movie. That's the only thing. I'm one of the many (many, many, many) people who really liked Man of Steel and I like all the casting announced so far, so I'm still onboard for this sequel.
Also, haters gonna hate and YOLO and other stuff kids say.

I have to agree there. Let's see we have Lex, Batman, Alfred, Wonder Woman, and I'm sure a Batman villain. As cool as it will be to see the DC Trinity on screen (though I'm not really expecting them together) did Wonder Woman really need to be in this? Couldn't maybe save that for another movie like say a solo Wonder Woman movie?

You don't think casting alone can hurt a movie?

LOL Honestly, those movies were doomed at the script-level, at least Cage's weirdness made them slightly less painful for that one misguided viewing. The American Beauty guy as the villain in the first one though? That was the worst casting.

I was expecting them to announce that Batman Vs Superman was really the code name for JLA.

Might as well be. Seems like they're throwing all the JL members into it. Likely just minor roles but still.

Read that a couple of days ago. Seems like a bad idea. Even for WB. Sure Man of Steel made a bunch of money, but A LOT of people were either disappointed by or just flat out hated it; and while I'm sure Batman vs Superman will also make a bunch of money just because it's Superman and Batman in a movie together (oooooooh), I'm don't doubt that by then too much (or just enough) of the movie going public will be sick of Snyder's take on DC, and Justice League could easily turn into another bloated big budget flop. Anyway, WB, I know Guillermo Del Toro is infamous for overloading his plate with movie projects and being slow as hell to get those flicks out, but do you pricks actually have to tell him to hold off on his plans for American Gothic aka Justice League Dark? That movie could actually be fucking good.

I just wish these studios like WB or Fox or Sony or whoever would give their franchises more time to breathe and grow before doing their version of The Avengers, which is the be-all-and-end-all for every studio making these types of movies.
When Iron Man came out in 2008 and was a big hit, Marvel still waited four more years and released four more movies before bringing it all together, and that time and character development helped make The Avengers so good. People knew all the characters and what made them all tick, so the movie could hit the ground running. It was four sequels in one movie, and it was incredible. At the rate they're going now, the Justice League movie seems way too eager to blow its load.

As one of the few who enjoyed Snyder's Man of steel I was excited for batman vs superman, but with every casting reveal I get a bit more weary. Dont mind him doing JLA but something just isnt clicking right now.

One good point I hadn't considered when thinking about Snyder's JLA, was the way Marvel gave its Cinematic Universe years of history with Howard Stark and Cap 1, so when we get to Avengers it doesn't just feel like these heroes just showed up all at once in an ordinary world overnight. JLA won't have that benefit.

But it won't have the luxury of establishing that organically. Instead she'll just pop up and explain that she's been around for decades. And that's less good.

I agree 100%, which is why doing a Justice League movie so soon is a bad idea. It's cool if they want to introduce Affleck's Batman in the Man of Steel sequel, but they should make another solo Batman movie and at least one more other solo movie, like Wonder Woman, before bringing them all together for the JLA. They want the success Marvel has, but they don't have the patience to make it work the way Marvel did. Marvel's strategy was a HUGE gamble so I can see why other studios don't want to risk the same thing (especially after Green Lantern), but it's still the best way to go.
And what really sucks is that I also really, really liked Man of Steel and would've loved to see them expand on that version of Superman without cramming every other major DC character into the series.

This. I was hoping for at least one solo Superman sequel before they start shoehorning everybody in.

Wonder Woman and also Flash (which was in development, but is on fucking hold) AT THE LEAST should be getting their own movies before Justice League. It wouldn't be that hard for a big powerhouse studio like Warner Brothers. Those flicks could easily be developed at the same time as Batman vs Superman. The secret to that is that Snyder doesn't fucking have to direct all these things.

I wonder if Flash will even be in the JLA, considering he's about to get a new show. It could tie in, like AOS, I guess. But, they need to make sure the Flash show is movie quality, so that it meshes properly.

They've said "Arrow" won't tie in, so by extension neither will the Flash show. Which again, it's like why didn't you organize these things to work together WB!? It's so obvious. They need a Kevin Feige.

They won't tie in, but that doesn't mean they won't use the characters. They won't AND SHOULDN'T use the main actors and story elements from Arrow and The Flash.

Marvel Studios is just kicking WB's ass all over the place when it comes to movies and TV. They have multiple huge movie franchises AND a successful network series AND multiple upcoming Netflix series, and it all fits together to make a (relatively) cohesive whole. It's taken them 6 years, but their patience and risk-taking has paid off. WB wants the same level of success, but they want to do it all in 3 years and 2 movies. I don't see it happening. I hope it does because I'd love to see a JLA movie as good as Avengers was, but with the approach they're taking I just don't see it.

They won't tie in, but that doesn't mean they won't use the characters. They won't AND SHOULDN'T use the main actors and story elements from Arrow and The Flash. I don't know what will be more confusing for general audiences: A tv show starring The Flash and a JLA movie featuring The Flash with different actor and costume design (presumably) OR X-men featuring a Quicksilver and The Avengers starring a Quicksilver also with different actor and costume design.

The Marvel one, easily. I think, why even introduce mutant characters in the MCU if you can't mention anything mutant related? Ofcourse, I haven't read any Avengers so I'm not familiar with Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch's importance outside of X-Men. So, from my perspective, I would've preferred the mutant stuff stay with FOX and continue sucking until they finally lose the rights, or realize how not to suck, and then have a clean reboot; this just further complicates things. But, oh yeah, I still hope DOFP doesn't suck!
