I'd make him film all his standing and sitting scenes while he heals. Any walking or running can wait til after.

At this point you'd think they could CG Harrison Ford's leg getting broken,

The arc with Ventress' backstory and Savage Opress' recruitment was awesome, I got a bit of a Mortal Kombat vibe from it. The arc after that was even more of a departure from the usual, I love that they finally got to Anakin's struggle between light & dark but wow, the whole force planet thing felt like it drastically changed the established universe. It's cool that they're getting more creative and ambitious though.
I've been enjoying getting into the Clone Wars figures so I checked to see what was lined up for the Rebels series, and it looks like they're going back to 5 point articulation crap. After the recently failed lines with limited articulation it's unbelievable that Hasbro keeps going that route.

Yeah fuck Hasbro's head hancho. He blatantly stated he dislikes Joescale stuff so just about everything in the 3.75 inch scale is 5 poa garbage and all the effort is going to the 6 inch scale. Some 'ol bullshit.
Meanwhile Mattel is starting to hit its stride in the 3.75 scale. The Multiverse line is kicking some ass with the new Batman/Batman Returns and Superman II wave. Can't wait to find a Christopher Revee Superman.

I'm a little worried how Ford's broken leg might change things. Apparently Abrams asked the suits at Disney to move the release back 6 months to let him heal, but they said no. They want a return on their $4 billion ASAP. Rumor is that Han is the main character of Episode VII and Abrams wanted him unfeebled for the big scenes, so some rewrites might be needed. But then again Mark Hamill was in an accident right before filming Empire, and that movie turned out just fine. They wound up adding the wampa attack to explain the scars on his face, so maybe they'll do something similar with Ford.

I didn't expect Han to be the main character, that seems like a bad idea.
The Clone Wars movie isn't boring! I attempted to watch it before but, with only the prequels as a reference point, the characters were still lame to me so I didn't make it past the first battle scene. The series was a much better entry point for me since it gets right to compelling soldier's stories, then shows that the characters aren't lame when they're given a chance to be fleshed out.

Yeah I couldn't stand Anakin (thanks again Lucas) until I started watching Clone Wars. Turns out he actually could end up becoming one of the most evil badasses of all time after all instead of just some whiny bitch that got too big for his britches.

They want a return on their $4 billion ASAP. They know that even a crappy re-entry with any of the original cast will generate ridiculous hundreds of millions, or billions, right off the bat. They don't have to care about "good" because they know that's not what sells to most people. It just has to done and it'll be instant gold.

It's a shame Krell ended up being a turncoat, it took away the moral complexity of him being just a dick who pushed his men too far, "Platoon" style. Still, probably my favorite arc of the series so far.

Pre Visla looks cool like he should with a shaved head in season 4, wish the figure didn't have his weak elf looking haircut from earlier.

The Clone Wars arc where Obi Wan goes to prison with a "Face/Off" disguise was really weird, they should've just had him where a helmet like Leia in Empire and said he needed it to breathe or something, but the payoff with the Bounty Hunters in the last couple episodes was ridiculously awesome.

Obi-Wan goes undercover again later on, and he wears a cool helmet instead of going the Castor Troy route (which really wasn't very Star Wars-y). The helmet he wears is a cool reference that hardcore SW fans should pick up on.

The season 4 finale was so great, Darth Maul's return was already awesome, Obi Wan's unlikely alliance made it better than imaginable.

I wasn't a big fan of bringing Maul back. They did it well I guess, but the very idea of bringing back a character who'd been cut in half felt like one of those stupid ideas Lucas throws out and everyone is too afraid to tell him how dumb it is. Darth Maul with robot legs was a cool idea when it was just in that Visionaries comic that didn't really count, but now that it's an official part of canon it just seems kinda lame. And it pisses me off to no end that Robo-Maul is part of official canon now but Mara Jade and Grand Admiral Thrawn and A'Sharad Hett and Nomi Sunrider and Cade Skywalker and Jodo Kast aren't.

I'd only seen pictures of Maul with robot legs from the comics and a statue or something based on it and thought it was such a cool idea that I loved seeing it in the context of a story for the first time. I agree as far as canon though, it's too far-fetched and corny, but I also think the show has done worse. The witchcraft stuff is way out there and kid Boba Fett is the worst offender for me, it destroys the allure of that character, but due to the stylistic difference it isn't too difficult to separate the stuff I'm not a fan of on the show from the movies.

I've been eyeing the black series figures currently on shelves and they're so not worthy of the price tag. They're a single notch above Hasbro's usual but the scultps still aren't that impressive and the paint's pretty sloppy. $15 for the 6"ers I could see but $20 is ridiculous, no matter how fancy the packaging is. The 3.75"ers are no different than usual, and it's not like they're decked out with accessories like G.I. Joes so the $10 price tag is not at all deserved.

SW figures have gone downhill harder than any other toyline. The only Black figure I have is Boba Fett and he was a Christmas present from my mom. And they're just upscaled from their 3.75 counterparts as far as I can tell. The normal figures are like you said exactly the same as before just lacking accessories. And don't even get me started on the 5 poa shit.

Eh, the Black Fett is a really great figure, I think. Didn't look like an upscale to me.

I think Fett's good. Just looking at Han and Slave Leia today they didn't seem like the special quality the black series first promised. Just average figures in a nice box for too much money. But are Marvel Legends $20 now too? I didn't think about that. It's all getting pretty ridiculous.

Yup. $20 for a Legend, too. Makes me put back Red Skull and Baron Zemo every single time.

Damn, and they don't even get the fancy packaging. I'm only complaining because I felt the same as you did with those Legends, that excitement of "no way there's actually a cool figure I can buy in a brick & mortar store!", and then the price that twists your insides up with disgust. If I saw Fett I might find it worth it, and X-Wing Luke is good quality even though I have no interest in it, but for the other figures that aren't up to that standard, the price is offensive. Han's an alright figure, I'd be okay paying up to $15 for a flawless one, but charging $20 and having sloppy paint warrants internet complaining.

What you need to do is hunt down a legend or black series so much that when you finally find it, you don't mind paying 30 fucking dollars for it.
