In the heat of the moment people do stupid things....on both sides of the moment. Lady Stark is smart enough to know had they stayed they would probably have been implicated in the murder and justice carried out before they could even explain themselves. This is not a rational world they are living in. true, and you and Hole are problem right, i just see instead of giving herself a chance she 100% guaranteed everybody thinks she's guilty now and instead of gaining 100,000 men for her side she ensured 100,000 new enemies

^ No way in hell were they going to follow her instead of Stannis Baratheon. I think she knew which way the wind would blow once Renly was out of the way.

Haven't seen the episode yet, but in the book, the shadow actually appears to be Renly's shadow on the tent walls...then Cat notices it moves in a way that Renly is not, and suddenly Renly is bleeding out all over the place while Brienne catches and holds him. The other lords/knights come in to see Cat standing there and Brienne with a dead/dying Renly in her arms and his blood all over her. There's no way in hell they'd be able to convince anyone that someone else snuck into his tent and killed him without being seen, and since 99% of the people in Westeros believe that there is no more magic in the world, they sure as hell aren't going to believe that a "shadow" killed him.
Also in the books, Loras continues to believe Brienne killed him for a LOOOONG long time.

God why does this show keep giving me a boner?
Hot chicks everywhere, nice tits all over, hell when they're completely clothed under a few layers of furs I'm getting a little hot and bothered.
Epicness abound.

That red guard assassin guy is so awesome. I think the plot I'm most interested in right now is finding out what the hot Wildling chick has planned.

DAMN, it gets better every week. Every plot this episode was so memorable and awesome. Observations: - We saw a somewhat not horrible side to Cersei for the first time; I did not expect that. She's still horrible though.
- That whole buildup to Jaime Lannister's breakout was genius.
- Aarya's exchanges with Tywin are so fun to watch.
- I'm hoping Jon Snow spills some blood on the snow next week.
- I love how the dragons mystery in Qarth wrapped up, damn.
Probably dumb to post this observation because it's so obvious, but: Theon is so frontin'. No way he burned Bran!

I posted this somewhere a good while back before the show premiered. Figure since there are a lot of fans now, maybe some of you would dig having these. Just past the Wales 5 shilling are Game of Thrones coins based on the books. www.joelscoins.com/nationsnon.htm

Wouldnt one of those bodies have scrawny itty bitty legs since the kid hasnt used them in so long? Just sayin', or would it matter due to the fire? Jon needs to bang that little red headed chick, the kid needs to earn his wings.

i thought just the fact that they were burned beyond the point of recognition meant that it wasn't actually them, but then he gave that look of "oh shit...what have i done?" and i wasn't quite sure. i think i have talked myself into it not being them though

With the Greyjoys however, he's going into it the bottom of the ladder and on top of that they made the ladder covered in pig shit due to the fact they think he's had easy living all his life. I'd much rather have proved my loyalty to the people that have been my family my entire life than start fresh with a bunch of people who treat me like I'm a blight upon their family. I honestly hate Theon now, while before I was like he's a likeable dude who just wants to get into a position of power with enough girls to fuck and enough money to do what he wants to in life.

yup, from the start i had a feeling he'd eventually turn on them, but i was really holding out hope he'd actually end up being a good guy, but unfortunatly it seems just about everybody in GoT land is indeed a selfish dick

I have never read the books, let me start by saying that.
I think Thone may in fact still be working with Rob and everything (except killing children) was part of a secret plan for Theon to help position the Greyjoy armies exactly where Rob wants them if in fact Lord Greyjoy refused to fight at his side which is exactly what happened.
I could totally be wrong but I just have a feeling that something is being set up here.

^ All an act. Yes I agree my theory kinda fell apart when Thone killed Rodderick but it could be that the plan would never work if he appeared to be weak before his Greyjoy men.
