Radiohead's "Supercollider". Better than Megadeth's.

Volbeat.. big into these guys right now. Best way I've explained them is Metal/Hard Rock meets a Elvis/Danzig vocals combo

Raz, have you heard of Hopsin? I haven't listened to rap in years, but my friend just told me about this guy and he's pretty sick.

Jess and The Ancient Ones... Another youtube recommendation gem. I've played this back to back several times now and solidly impressed by this album. Has a throw back sound to it to when a a full album is great music, song after song Highly recommend the songs Sulfur Giants and Ghost Riders.. its whats missing on the Radio these days

I know, my youtube recommendations, I don't think, hasn't given me anything I haven't liked. Looked up some info on the band and they use three guitars in it. Try and find Uncle Acid and The Deadbeats. Same kind of sound just male vocals. All their recording tools and instruments etc are all from the 60's. Gives a very good retro sound Found one of their songs youtube, can be a pain to find their stuff online though

Another retro sounding band to try is England's Purson.. love the singers voice. I found Purson and Uncle Acid through Metal Hammer magazine. Such a great publication.

Been in a Doom/Industrial metal mood past couple days and Paradise Lost have been fitting that bill, more doom than industrial but damn, forgot how good this album is...

I don't usually post in this thread because I feel like there's no audience here for what I like, especially since SteveMcqueen is gone, but with all that dubstep talk in the obersvations thread, I realized that there might be a couple who would like some stuff I've got to share. So here's a bunch of new stuff I've been loving the hell out of (not all are literally new, but newly discovered by me, or released within the past year or two.):

My current favorite song by my favorite artist, released just last month:
And if you liked Feed Me's Rat Trap, that genre is called trap and it's an offshoot of dubstep that leans more towards hip hop stylings. Here's a few of my favorite trap songs:

I cant believe how much I like the new Korn single. I've never really been a fan (although I've been meaning to check out the Skrillex crossover album) but this song hits an unexplored sweetspot between Nine Inch Nails and Linkin Park and is just the right amount of poppyness and heaviness, and although the lyrics are simple and cheesy they have a throwback 80's feel that makes them excusable. The vocals also sound a lot more like Mushroomhead than traditional Korn to me.

I like two of their songs. Can't really get into a lot of their others.

I have been "writing" a few articles on artists in order to get into free shows. One of the bands I covered was Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs. Enjoy Shimmer.
Giraffage is a local artist to the San Francisco Bay Area. He plays a ton of free shows and it's amazing beacuse I am broke and that he is doing a good job of keeping music for the people. Good for him. My girlfriend and I braved the freezing weather and caught Giraffage at Treasure Island last year. Even after seeing him at least four times before. I was still blown away. Giraffage - Mama.
Gesaffelstein has way better songs than this one. Check him out. However, no one can touch this amazing video he made last year. It's definitely the best of the year. Gesaffelstein - Hate or Glory

I walked down to the trendy record store today and picked up the new St. Vincent album. She's awesome, and the album is incredible.
But because I'm not a TOTAL hipster, I got the CD and not the vinyl.
