They are quite awesome. I've got them on DVD thanks to Superman I & II.

I especially love how Batman The Animated Series sits right alongside the Fleischer cartoons in terms of design. They've made me appreciate that show even more than I already did.

Finally watched All-Star Superman, as a huge fan of the comic I expected the worst and was pleasantly surprised. Sure, it missed a whole lot of the story, but that was unavoidable. Maybe it's because I haven't read the comic since it was released but I didn't mind the omissions like I thought I would. It was kind of like cliff notes that reminded me why I loved the comic so much, and it definitely captured the overall spirit Morrison intended. Really, I think I liked it so much because they didn't dumb it down, just shortened & focused it to accommodate the medium. Comparisons aside, it was a solid animated movie that told an interesting story and explored Superman's character more than most other movies/shows out there. 8/10

The best thing about All Star Superman is how nonchalant Superman is about all the wacky stuff that goes on in that universe. 'Oh hey Lois I picked you these flowers-- got them on Alpha-Centauri 1, so you know-- no big.'
Loved the little details too-- like the sign in the Fortress that said 'Superman at work', lol

^EXACTLY. It takes all of the out there old-school campy stuff that usually turns me off to a lot of JLA related comics and makes fun of it while making it awesome. That was one of my favorite elements of the comic and the movie captured it perfectly. Like the pet sun-eater, so ridiculous and they made it funny and cool! It's kind of gotten me to appreciate that stuff more, whenever something like that pops up in DC Universe Online I get a kick out of it because now I get that it's not all supposed to be taken super seriously. There's a certain charm to it and I think since I was mostly an X-Men fan growing up, it took a while for me to see that.

Agreed. I get why most didn't care for All-Star Superman but you can't deny it is a fun movie. And James Denton nailed it as Supes.

Yeah I loved it. Great ending for the show. The ending with every character in the Batcave had me choked up a little because I was a pretty big fan of the show. It will be missed.
Oh and the fake Batgirl preview looked pretty awesome.

Yeah, I wish that was the real new Batgirl show. Super BFF's and the new Batman cartoon don't sound all that appealing.

Super BFFs?
But yeah me and my friend are big time Batman fans and neither of us like the way this new show sounds. Professor Pyg? Gun wielding Alfred? Katanna as the side-kick? Really? Plus just going by that first pic the designs don't look all that great.

I just watched Year One and found it pretty disappointing. The pacing made it kind of boring and the story was nowhere near as good as I expected from all the praise I've heard the comic receive. It was kind of cool to see the stuff that was lifted for Batman Begins and there were some decent action sequences, but overall I wasn't very impressed. Also, I thought Catwoman's whole story arc was terrible. I'd give it a 6/10. On the brightside, now I can vote in the poll! ;D

It's really a Gordon story and Cranston knocked it out of the park. And if you want the REAL Catwoman watch the short included. It really earns that PG-13 rating.

I just watched Year One today for the first time as well! Really enjoyed it, some great stuff, but I'm going to keep New Frontier as my favorite.

Watched Emerald Knights, as a non-Green Lantern fan I found it totally uninteresting and it lacked the great animation usually seen in animated anthologies. 3/10. So my vote goes to Under The Red Hood.

Anything from Begins was taken from here, the graphic novel came out in 85 I think. Watched Emerald Knights, as a non-Green Lantern fan I found it totally uninteresting and it lacked the great animation usually seen in animated anthologies. 3/10. So my vote goes to Under The Red Hood. As a GL fan I didn't care for it either, it's pretty boring.

^I know Batman Year One came first, I said "the stuff lifted FOR Batman Begins", it's not a proper term but I'm not putting a lot of effort in today, I meant the stuff Batman Begins lifted from Year One...

I liked seeing what they used for Batman Begins too. And as a GL fan I liked Emerald Knights just fine but it's definitely one of their weaker movies. A couple of the segments were pretty good.

What annoyed me most was keeping the animation the same, and then getting all new voices (I was excited for Fillion as Hal) but then to see the trailer which made it seem one cohesive story and a really good one, I was sorely disappointed. I keep forgetting to watch the new show, but I don't get why it's so hard to do GL justice in any medium that requires film. The best to date would have been anything from Bruce Timm. While I didn't hate the movie, it definitely had it's weaknesses and felt very under scaled. The First Flight movie isn't bad except for Sinestro's 8-Ball of death.
