I'm not a huge comic guy but after watching and loving the movie back in April, I bought the the hardcover collection of the first eight issues and loved it even more than the movie.
Anyways, I remember hearing that Millar was in the process of writing the second part of the series and was wondering when the new shit will be released?

1st issue came out two weeks ago. I was even surprised to see it out already!

I was a little disappointed to see they dropped the "Balls 2 the Wall" subtitle. Still a good book, but that title was so stupid it worked.
Also, you should check out "Nemesis" by Millar and Steve McNiven. It's also getting a movie, and it's a lot better than "Kick-Ass".

Nemesis is pretty good as well... haven't read Kick-Ass 2 yet, as we just got the issue recently... but I thought the subtitle was for the second movie? or am I wrong?

Balls 2 the Wall was for the comic. It could be used for the movie but I doubt it. Nemesis is soooo awesome. The thing he did with the brother and sister was just so gross and it takes a lot to gross me out. I vote for Viggo Mortensen to play the detective. Not sure who should play Nemesis.

The second movie is supposed to be "Motherfucker," Red Mist's new persona.

They're talking about him for "Superior", the other creator-owned Mark Millar series that just launched and already has a movie deal. The first issue was pretty dumb.

Well it was just lacking really. I think they should have made it longer. It has potential but the monkey is very odd. I still like the idea of Jon Hamm playing a charismatic villain. As long as they get an actor who can play him like he is written and have fun and not be stingy about the character then I'll be happy.

Thanks for the info, guys.
It's kind of weird how under the radar the release has been considering how much momentum the property had this year. I'll probably wait for this new series to end before I buy it because I just can't go issue by issue, I'm more of the gorging type.
As for "Nemesis", read a bit about it on wikipedia and it sounds insane. I'll definitely check it out.

Maybe spoilerish...
I'm hoping that when all these hero and villain teams start coming together that most of them are killed off rather quickly. Maybe by each other, gangsters, or law enforcement, just to show that if you dare take part in any of these shenanigans, their will be consequences and only the strong can survive.

I don't really dig the direction that the new "Kick Ass" book is going in. I feel the same way, and I can't quite put my finger on why. I wasn't too impressed with the new issue. Hopefully it'll change in the next couple issues. Superior I felt was pretty good thus far, given that they didn't give you much in the comic. I would have liked to have seen it be longer. And WTF was with the monkey?!!? Weeeeeiiiiirrrrrrrrrd I really like Nemesis though... the creepy factor, the sheer diabolical nature of him, and the overall story so far. Really interested to see this translated to screen so long as it's pretty faithful like Kick-ass where there were only minimal changes. Time will tell!

I think Nemesis is better than Kick-Ass, the amount of page turning WTF moments are excellent and only The Walking Dead and Blackest Night have been able to do that lately.
