Finally, a movie about DC characters that looks like fun instead of a joyless slog.
Huh. It's age-restricted because it's the redband trailer for James Gunn's Suicide Squad reboot that isn't a sequel.

I think I liked what I saw for the most part. Robbie's accent is still all over the fucking place, which is never going to stop annoying me and pulling me out of what's happening on-screen. Also, I really hope that tagline, "They're dying to save the world," is just something some dipshit in WB's marketing came up with and not actually indicative of the movie itself. Saving the world really isn't Task Force X's thing, and it's a significant part of what took Ayer's movie down an idiotic path. They're not the fucking Justice League. They're more like the Dirty Dozen. The stakes don't have to be the fucking world and really shouldn't be. And they sure as hell shouldn't be twice in a row. Considering Starro shows up, I'm kind of nervous that's exactly where this movie is headed, but maybe Gunn's just going to play that for kind of a throwaway joke. I hope he is.

Well, we have Drax and Groot in there for sure. I dunno, I just don't read much of any DC so maybe I'm just predisposed to not being interested. This looks like just another Saturday afternoon flip-across movie for me.

So far, I think Gunn's biggest success here is that I don't want to punch Joel Kinnaman in the face.

I'm not a huge DC fan, but I think it looks good. I especially like the Polkadot Man in that trailer.

Anyone using the hashtags and/or talking about restoring the Snyderverse or releasing the "Ayer cut" as if they are things that they either hope will happen or are things that need to happen also needs a serious beating.

Every Disney movie based on a Disney Parks ride has to have at least a few elements in common.

I can't believe they've managed to squeeze out 5 movies based on the Indiana Jones ride.
