So I really think Nintendo is onto something with this one. The 3DS is starting to show signs of age and the Wii U wasn't nearly as successful as Nintendo would have hoped. How do you kill 2 birds with one stone? By combining your next gen console and handhelds into one new revolutionary machine. How do you get people interested in a new console after many were burned by the Wii U? Make the new (and frankly, breathtaking) Legend of Zelda game a launch title. Not to mention there's going to be a lot more 3rd party support than the Wii U had. I think Nintendo is going to reassert themselves as a, if not the, dominant gaming company once again.

I don't know much about it, and I haven't bought a Nintendo console since the Gamecube. And I still can't find a NES Classic, so I'm kinda pissed at Nintendo right now. But a great Zelda game with graphics on par with Uncharted 4 could maybe change my mind.

when it comes to video games I couldn't care less about gimmicky controllers and handhelds and nintendo exclusives don't really interest me
I'm more interested in raw power and ability to play 3rd party games
just gimme a regular controller and a big ass tv and I'm happy

Honestly I've never been a Nintendo fan so I really couldn't care less about their new gimmicky console. The only reason I bought a Gamecube was so I could play Twin Snakes and it's the only game I have for it.

the last nintedo I had was the gamecube and I only got that for the resident evil remake and only ended up buying 3 other games for it(resident evil 4 and 0 and eternal darkness) the entire time I had it

I was going to get the RE games on Gamecube but got (and still have) RE4 on the PS2 and didn't get REmake and RE0 until recently on Xbone. I did borrow REmake from a friend for a bit but never finished it though.

Gamecube was awesome. I got it for Super Smash Bros Melee (still the best one), Twin Snakes, and the RE series. Metroid Prime turned out to be fun.
That Zelda game looks awesome, but I agree with Beef Easter - I'm more interested in power and 3rd party games. I like Nintendo stuff alright, but I'm not so much of a fan that I get excited for new entries in their long-running series. The family friendly style has caused my interest to kinda wane. I'm more interested in new stuff like Horizon Zero Dawn, For Honor, and Wild.
