Also here's some context. Yup that's right they're fist bumping because Logan made a George Bush joke.

Apparently that rumor about Fox starting over with the FF reboot was pretty much bullshit. Bummer.

The Marvel: Assembling A Universe special was mostly a recap with some teases of new stuff toward the end, but I enjoyed it. I admittedly skipped the Winter Soldier stuff since it's so close I don't wanna know nothin'.I think they showed one thing from Avengers 2 for the first time though. *SPOILERS*theyshowedaglimpseofthearmorironmanuseswithwhichtobusthulksandstuff*SPOILERS*. Not sure if it's already common knowledge but I thought it was cool, just enough of a tease to get me excited without feeling like a huge surprise was ruined.

Did they reveal who the Winter Soldier is? Because that would be a fucked up thing to do.

Shit. Well, I've read from Kevin Feige that Winter Soldier still has a major twist in it that is bigger than the identity of The Winter Soldier and that they've been pretty successful at keeping it a secret so far.

I read an impression beforehand when I was making sure what time it was on, that criticized it for being just a bunch of Marvel patting itself on the back. I didn't get that vibe at all. It was simply a recap.
I still don't feel like that Hulk movie's a part of anything though, it severely lacks what the others have.

Yeah, they really need to bring one of the Incredible Hulk's characters back into the fold to tie it more firmly to the universe. Well, Bryan Talbot is going to be in AOS, so maybe there will be someone else. I wonder how Liv Tyler, Tim Roth, William Hurt, and dude from O Brother Where Art Thou feel about returning. They REALLY should bring back Samuel Stern, since they fucking teased The Leader.

The 2008 Hulk movie has that Tony Stark cameo at the end, and the Hulk/Abomination fight in Harlem is mentioned in The Avengers. Plenty of connections to the larger MCU in that movie.
But I agree, they should flesh some of that stuff out a bit more. At least bring Tim Blake Nelson back at some point. And doesn't Phil Dunphy play Doc Samson in that movie? It's been a while since I've seen it.

Liv Tyler's weepy face should go away but I'm cool with the rest of the characters returning. I think the movie had the right idea, but it's right around the time Edward Norton went from best actor alive to bland shelll of one, so the human characters failed to capture the magic of the other flicks. Tim Roth, William Hurt, and the CG fights were good.

I wonder why is it in the movies they have no problem with Loki wearing his helmet for the good part of 2 separate movies but Thor only wore his for maybe 5 seconds in the first Thor movie. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but if I'm not mistaken he hardly ever takes it off in the comics.
Just something that's kinda bugged me. Carry on everybody.

In the movies so far he's been either banned from ruling Asgard or rebelled against ruling Asgard, maybe they're saving the helmet for when/if he takes the throne. Even though I guess it's not a crown, I can see it being symbolic of one and Thor can't look too kingly yet. I guess, could be totally wrong, could be because they prefer the Ultimates look. Plus, Loki's horns are just awesome.

I'd hope it's as much a practical matter as it is a vanity one. It might have flown off and around during action sequences enough to keep it off his head most of the time. Maybe. Though I can't come up with a reason when he's just shooting scenes with two of the worst actresses of our time. Not a big Thor fan, but his look is iconic, and it includes the helmet.

Hemsworth's flowing blonde hair puts lady-asses in seats, and Marvel knows it. That's why he doesn't wear the helmet. It's also why his shirt keeps coming off.

So that "Assembling a Universe" TV special was definitely an example of masturbatory corporate synergy and really nothing more than a glorified infomercial. And to think I sat there for 45 minutes watching televised Blu-ray special features just to see someone wheeling the Hulkbuster hand prop on to the Avengers 2 set. I feel dirty.
