I'll go with the Iron Man Legends Bleeding Edge IM. It's really the only thing new I've gotten this year so far.

It came out in 2012, but the coolest figure I've gotten this year is Marvel Select Hulk from the Avengers movie. He's just under 10" tall, and loaded with articulation. Awesome figure.

^ I went back and forth over that Hulk and MS Deadpool. Went with DP and love the figure but hate the floppy knees and inability to hold a good pose.
I'd like to pick up a version of Dutch, not sure which yet.

Yeah, the cigar version is appealing, but the mud covered Dutch is more iconic to me. I'm thinking that's the one I want most.

I'm too lazy today to take pics and post them, but my favorite figure to come out in the last two-and-a-half months is Marvel Select's Uber Venom.

^That one is awesome, the Select line's interchangeable heads are some of the coolest accessories on the market.
Of the ones I've purchased so far, I have to go with G.I. Joe Retaliation wave 2 Roadblock. Groundbreaking sculpt for the line, great articultion, and creative/practical accessories. But with everything coming out this year, that choice will definitely be bested soon.

I gotta say, I'm kind of torn here.
I really like the Marvel Legends Archangel, the Marvel U Professor X, and both NECA Dutch figures.
Top 5 instead of favorite maybe?

I would like to say it'd be a Marvel Legend, but my two favorite from the Hit-Monkey wave are repaints of last years SDCC X-Force pack, being X-Force Wolverine and Archangel.
The MS Venom look amazing, but I passed on him. Might get him eventually.
So, my favorite for 2013 so far, hands down goes to Dutch! Amazing figure!

So now that 2013 has concluded, what were everyone's favorites?
5. This spot would've gone to a G.I. Joe or Marvel Universe figure, but Hasbro shit the bed.
4. Play Arts Kai Resident Evil: ORC Lupo - At $58, this was the most expensive figure I'd purchased at the time, and it made for a pretty bad first impression of both Play Arts Kai and "high-end" figures in general. It's a good looking figure and the 9" scale is nice, but nothing about the sculpt is superior to what NECA's churning out and the paint apps are significantly weaker. The biggest issue is that the whole thing feels cheap and wobbly and is almost impossible to keep standing. After my 2nd PAK figure broke immediately upon opening it, I'm done buying their products unless they release some obscure must-have that I never imagined would get a figure, like someone from Clive Barker's Jericho. But Lupo still makes the list because I really like the character and it does look badass when it's standing.
3. NECA Aliens Hicks and Hudson - My #1 dream figures since I was old enough to realize Kenner's offerings weren't exactly movie accurate. The detail and headsculpts turned out really nice, but there were a lot of shortcomings. Sifting through dozens on the pegs was the only way to guarantee a decent paint job, some parts on the accessories are super brittle and snap off with the slightest touch, and the leg articulation is dumb and makes their standing poses look goofy no matter how much you mess with them. It's a bummer, considering Dutch had none of these issues, but it's still awesome to finally have movie-accurate versions of these characters.
2. NECA 18" Avengers Captain America - This has a lot to do with the fact that I don't buy high-end stuff, so the whole experience of realizing I could trade in some old DVD's and games at FYE and walk out with this amazing looking figure I assumed I'd never own was one of the highlights of my year. It's not perfect, the head seems oversized and there are aren't a ton of posing options, but the sculpt is great and the sheer size of it makes it one of the most eye-catching figures in my collection.
1. NECA Predator Dutch - I'm not singling out 1 version since I had to mash a few together to get my optimal one, but man what an amazing balance of sculpt and articulation and still the best likeness I've ever seen in 7" scale. And again, it was another dream figure. As someone who's always valued the human characters in monster movies more than most fans seem to, it's amazing to finally get figures of my absolute favorites.
Favorite older figure purchased in 2013: DCC Arkham line - I have to list these as a package deal because even if each individual figure isn't perfect, the fact that DCC is releasing basically every character from these games is unprecedented and it's really fun to collect the entire rogues gallery.
The one that got away: Arkham City 2-pack Bane - I still haven't gotten my 2012 entry for this category, the Bioshock Brute Splicer, but I caught up on some other Bioshock figs, so that makes up for it. AC Bane is huge and awesome and I'm grateful they made this reworked re-release of the Asylum version because that one was going for close to $200 online. Now I just have to find this one before the price skyrockets.

1. NECA Jungle Encounter Dutch - All 5 Dutch figures released in 2013 were awesome, but this one takes the cake for me. The vest w/ no shirt combo is the most iconic look, and with amazing articulation and accessories and a head sculpt that rivals Hot Toys for under $20 it's a no-brainer.
2. Star Wars Black Series 6" Boba Fett - The obvious highpoint of the 6" SW line so far, and a really great sculpt. Articulation could be a little better and this line is way overpriced, but it's still a 6" Boba Fett figure and it's awesome.
3. Star Wars Darth Plagueis - It seems like the 3.75" SW line is moving towards much less articulation as the new standard and the lineup choices are getting more and more boring as the well dries up, but I'm a big fan of the SW expanded universe and I've wanted a Plagueis figure for years. They finally made one and he's great. EU figures are becoming less common in the line these days, and this year we only got two, and one of those had a head sculpt so bad you had to buy a separate figure to swap the heads to make it look good, but they hit Plagueis out of the park.
4. NECA Aliens Hudson - Of the two extremely cool Colonial Marines they made, this annoying bastard is the best. The head sculpt is just fantastic, and looks even better in a good pose surrounded by Aliens.
5. Marvel Select Avengers Hulk - It's a 2012 figure, but I didn't get it until this year so blow me. It's awesome. Best Hulk ever.

Pretty impressed with my Predator/Dutch 2-pack. But I would have liked some weapons in there, even though the final showdown was just mano y mano. I'd like to get Jungle Dutch for the look anyway. The re-release of Green Goblin, it counts. Sculpt and face are incredible. Haven't gotten much this year, but all my Selects have taken top spots.

I missed out on the first batch of the 18" Pacific Rim figure, but they're doing another production run and I preordered that sumbitch right away. Should be out in a couple months.
