www.rebelscum.com/story/front/Th ... 150003.asp "The 411: Is a 6-Inch Star Wars Line Imminent? Posted by Rich on January 28, 2013 at 02:42 AM CST According to our spies, Gentle Giant and Hasbro are collaborating in the development of a super-articulated, highly detailed 6-inch Star Wars line. Since the two companies already work together on Hasbro's Marvel Legends line, partnering up for a 6-inch Star Wars line isn't inconceivable. Reports put at least two figures a good distance into the development process and one spy notes the quality saying "I don't collect Star Wars, but if these come out I'm going to." The question is, will you? Join the discussion in our forums and share your thoughts. No Bothans were harmed in the delivery of this message." Please God, let this finally happen! I LOVE Star Wars, but the one thing I've never liked is the 3-3/4inchers. Please Please Please let this be true! If it does happen, who would be in the first series?! Will there be a BaF?! Who will it be?! I say make the BaF be like the droid factory. Series one would definitely have to be the R2-D2 Series.

About three years too late for me...and six in general. Congrats, though, to those that want them.

Sounds great on paper as long as they dont keep releasing the same figures over and over again with just different packaging.

Looks good, but I hate that style of hip articulation. I'll have to see how the other ones look before getting too excited.
And $19.99 each? What the actual fuck?

Legends are anywhere from $15 - $18, and this is Star Wars. Sounds about right.

You can't find 6"ers for less than $15.99 these days so the price doesn't surprise me too much. I wonder if they'll do video game characters.

I guess so. I'm just remembering back to sepia-toned 2005 when you could get a Marvel Legends figure with a piece of a massive BAF (remember the Sentinel?) for eight bucks. Now the figures aren't as good, they cost twice as much, and the BAFs are half the size.
But I'll probably still get some of these.

Had to google him cuz I haven't played the KOTOR games yet. Now I remember him from the kickass CG trailer to the newest one. His design is awesome.

And $19.99 each? What the actual fuck? Having read that R2-D2 will be an individual release in the first series, I'm more inclined to agree with this. Economy or not, a 6" scale (so closer to 3 or 4"?) R2-D2 for $20 is an enormous ripoff.

"Our focus here is the adult collector, the dad," DePriest says. "We know they have their own generation of youngsters they like to share the adventure with. It can be something for dad, and the 3¾ world can be something for the kids to share."
There's your reason for a $20 price point. Garbage justification if you ask me. They should have a $15 price point like Marvel. I would guess TRU will tack on another $5 for shits and giggles.

If they're charging 20 bucks for a 4-inch R2 then it better actually have the ability to access the city's central computer and fix the GD hyperdrive.
