So far, it's only alright. Not as good as the others.
I will say that it does a great job at painting him in a new light, without compromising the character.

On the record, I've been buying all these and I'm pissed off.
These stories did not need to be told.
It's the perfect example of "Just because you can, doesn't mean you should."
These stories add NOTHING to the original story and actually take away a little bit of the awesomeness of the original story.
I wish this had never happened. Horrible idea all around.

Really? Even Minutemen? I feel like that's the only one worth a damn. Otherwise, I agree.

"Minutemen" is the only one I was tempted to read, mainly because Darwyn Cooke is awesome and I like almost everything he does. But honestly, I lost a little bit of respect for all the writers and artists who signed up for this thing. I can understand why JMS would be willing to put his name on something like this, but I really thought Cooke and Azzarello and Risso would know better, and would rather put their talents to use on something more original.
But whatever. It's just as easy to pretend the whole thing doesn't exist.

Hey, the stuff's not bad. Holeman's right, in that it didn't need to be done and probably shouldn't have, but now that it is, it's some good stuff.

Way behind in buying an reading these. I just finished Ozymandius, great book, really liked the origin and how the book was a behind the scenes of Watchmen. Rorschach just didn't thrill me and while I haven't read the last issue of Nite Owl, I'm disappointed with the new 52 look they gave him. I've read the first issue of Minutemen, liked it and look foward to finishing it. Haven't read any of the others.

I think I'm gonna get the Minutemen/Silk Spectre collection when it comes out this summer, and if I like it I might the other ones. I like how they're pairing up the different series by writer for the collections, and the appeal of Darwyn Cooke and Amanda Conner artwork in one hardcover is too nice to resist.

In the end, I enjoyed them all, with the exception of Comedian and Rorschach, both written by Azarello. :/ The final issue of Dr. Manhattan has one of my favorite comic covers of the last few years.
