O, so they think it's a choice? Funny, this. I just read this month's issue of Morning Glories, one of my new favorite comics, and one of the characters was revealed to be gay.

Personally, I would suspect Wonder Woman. Aside from some obvious reasons, it's easier for teenage boys who read comics to accept a lesbian heroine than a gay hero. I have a feeling that DC doesn't want to take TOO much of a risk with this. Seems like the easiest choice. EDIT: Haha, never mind. Just saw this. How ironic that I did right after posting in here. www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/Gaston/news/?a=60166

Anything relating to Batman in any way will just be too on-the-nose. And everyone in the Batman universe, especially Batman, is too dear to too many non-comic-reading, but-merchandise-buying fans who are more likely to beat a gay comic character to death anyway.
Aquaman is a copout if they do go that way. We all know he blows dolphins for days. My pick is someone like MM who is an alien, someone not human.
Probably the fucking Anti-Monitor or Darkseid or Larfleeze. Whoever it is, it will be a total wimp-ass move after the hype. As usual. Shit, Doomsday hasn't been seen slipping the tongue to any women.
Come to think of it, it's probably Granny Goodness.

I was thinking WW at first too, but I decided against her because they already have lesbian characters in Batwoman and Question.
So, now that that article confirms it's a guy, I just don't think DC would take the risk of making Superman or Batman gay. Flash, yeah; Robin, sure; a GL, maybe...

What I'm wondering is...what is DC's definition of "iconic"? Like I said, some non-human entity they can parade around without being in any way responsible for answering tough questions. It'll be shrouded in questionable doubt as a mutant genetic trait if the character is a human. The average man-on-the-street character will be used to keep the debate open to interpretation as long as it means sales. Pretty much like Marvel and the anti-mutant sentiment.

Apparently it's a character that hasn't been seen since the relaunch, so all the really major characters are out, so to speak.
My money's on Lobo.

I bet it is Wally West (the second Flash) that they're "outing". He hasn't shown up in the Flash series since the relaunch.

I'm still upset that they made Shatterstar gay.
Creating awesome characters who happen to be gay, like Apollo and Midnighter, is the respectable way to do it. If their intention is to promote equality, DC shouldn't perceive the change as a big deal. Making a character who's been around for years gay as a marketing stunt is totally counterproductive and is clearly more about money than good intent.

I'll go with Green Arrow. Hell his name is Oliver Queen. I guess he won't be as straight as his arrows.

Its just a guess, but just because he was a womanizer before, means nothing now, with the New 52 reinventing characters. No way Batman or Superman turn. Wonder Woman seems to obvious, but maybe for them its easier to convince us shes a lesbian.

If their intention is to promote equality, DC shouldn't perceive the change as a big deal. Their intention is to promote, period. It's not gay rights they're promoting as much as it is their comics. DC are whores like that. Besides, Marvel has two gay characters getting married soon, so DC wanted some of that GLAAD action.

^ Northstar is marrying his partner. Yes, Shatterstar is gay. He was dating Rictor, who is Bi. Not sure if they are still dating. I was surprised as shit when I picked up an issue of X-Factor.

By the way, just noticed that Jimmy Olsen is up there. Come to think of it, it could be him.

Billy Batson is in the Curse of Shazam backup in Justice League, so he's out.
