I remember the good old days when action figures cost like 6.99 for 6 inch figures.....

*smacks forehead*
in reality you're paying about 4 bucks more than then, people forget inflation which is one of the reasons figures/collectibles seem higher priced. The four dollars I mentioned is when companies have actually upped prices due to rising production costs.

I don't think I'll ever take your investing advice, probably gonna do the opposite of what you suggest because it's the better option. ;D

To me as the consumer the reasons don't really matter, the reality is 6" figures cost around $8 more than they did up until like 5 years ago and unfortunately most of them aren't worth that to me. It's cool that 3 & 3/4" figures have gotten better to compensate though. I really never thought I'd get back into that scale but it's been great.

I tried getting into the 3 & 3/4inch MU figures when I was the lucky guy that found a bunch of them for 50cents. I gave them to my nephews shortly after...

Saw series 1 at 2 different Meijer stores today. 14.99 each. Both stores hadn't sold any yet, and they were both Variant cases with the stealth Iron man and orange Ghost Riders. I was tempted, but didn't buy any.

Any non-Meijer sighting of these yet? I really want Steve Rogers and Iron Man.

I'm liking Blade, except for the recycled Nick Fury legs and coat

I remember the good old days when action figures cost like 6.99 for 6 inch figures..... I remember buying the original Johnny Blaze Ghost Rider for 6.99 including his bike and comic book. Now this one (although looks like it could be a bigger scale) for 17.99 and no bike? No thanks.

I've seen them all but Steve at my local TRU. Same here. He was the only one I was even remotely interested in.

I'm liking Blade, except for the recycled Nick Fury legs and coat Blade actually has Winter Soldier's legs, which ( you're half-right), are the same as Fury's except for what's below the knees. I love the headsculpt, and wouldn't mind the coat (I do wish they'd make a long leather coat without that ribbing), but there shouldn't be any red on the outside, and that fucking chest applique thing that is also 100% recycled from Winter Soldier needs to go. So much potential...so damn lazy.

That's not the problem. I'd be fine with it if they left that Winter Soldier chest piece off and didn't paint the jacket that way. Some genius, however, decided that since the inside of Blade's jacket was red in Blade 2, the inside of the figure's jacket and for some odd reason the lapels should be red, too. If you squint really hard and use your imagination, the Winter Soldier chest piece looks kind of like Blade's vests from the movies. That is fucking lazy. The pic they used to advertise Blade shows him in an all black leather jacket (doable), and a t-shirt (how the chest would look under the Winter Soldier I-don't-know-what-the fuck-to-call-it. Reuse isn't necessarily lazy, but what was done with that figure is lazy and sloppy, too.

Bucky Cap looks great, which is really the only figure from the first two series that I want. And Steve Rogers too I guess.

A classic Cap would be nice too. Only one made that I really cared for was the old Series 1.

I think I had that one. Sold it. It was based of the Ultimate cap, right? Came with a weird looking Red Skull? Had a great sculpt but I didn't care for the shoulder articulation. Felt the S1 version was much more articulate yet solid. Better yet if they could some how combine the two that would be great.

It might still be doable with the Blade they're putting out using an x-acto knife, a little sandpaper, turpentine and/or a jacket swap. More work than it oughtta be, but again, they screwed the pooch on this guy.
