Jazwares unveiled some new MK figs at Toy Fair. They're making Kano and Nightwolf so I'm happy, I just hope they make them in the 6" scale (at this point I assume they're just releasing all of them in both scales). I think the regular version of Jax looks okay too if you don't move his legs ;D. Other than that, as previously rumored, they're making Sonya and Shao Kahn w/ throne (which looks too amazing to ever be released). Also Quan Chi, Goro, Noob, and 6" Klassic Ermac (though I'm sure most would prefer his MK9 costume). They're doing 3-packs for Scorpion and Sub-Zero that feature their classic costumes, re-releases of the Shaolin Monks versions, and their MK9 versions. The weird thing is that the Shaolin Monks figures are still like an inch taller than the new ones, so yeah that's gonna look really cheap once again. Also looks like a Shang Tsung 3-pack with him and 2 of the same background ninja. Also, bloody variants (which seem extremely lazy) and a replica Sub-Zero sword. Overall, just glad to see all the characters I really wanted get figures. And I dunno, even if they aren't the best quality I found this reveal more exciting than most of the other samey unsurprising stuff shown at this year's Toy Fair. I'll re-purchase the Shaolin Monks Sub and Scorp as they were top-notch. But the rest are shit. I wouldn't even buy them as chew toys for my dogs.

Reptile and Baraka look pretty good, but I'm sure they won't when found in stores.

I've got the smaller MK9 Reptile and he's pretty sweet considering the quality of his cohorts. If the 6 inch version comes out half as good I'll be happy.

That throne room looks pretty sweet but overall these figures are bad.

Looks like the 3.75" MK figs are already showing up at Ross for $5.99. That's gotta be a record.

For 5.99 that's not too bad. There's some other company that's trying to make NECA quality MK figures. But they need to gauge interest first.

^I heard about that but I also heard the company was just asking for facebook likes to see if there was interest and seemingly hadn't even considered that they'd have to actually get the rights from Jazwares. It'd be great if someone did it right but I'm not getting my hopes up based on a no-name company's facebook page alone.

I'd definitely get Sub-Zero and Raiden for 5.99 a piece. I'll need to go by Ross sometime soon.

Okay, these aren't amazing, but they're my two favorite "kombatants". I love these characters, especially in their MK9 costumes, so I can't wait to own 'em. Entertainment Earth has them listed for July release so it probably won't be long until they hit retail. And here are Liu Kang and Jax:

^ Now THAT is how MK figures should look. I'd buy any and all of those if they got the same treatment that SOTA gave to SF.

I finally backed up all of my defensiveness in this thread and bought a 6" Scorpion for ten bucks at Marshall's. ;D It's probably because I've been aware of its shortcomings for so long, but I'm really diggin' this figure. From the reviews I thought the legs would have hardly any movement and he'd be stuck in awkward poses like in all of the photos. The hip joints are pretty much just like Marvel Universe, so with a bit of twisting you can get him into more dynamic positions. I love the MK9 costumes and even though it's sloppy looking and the proportions are iffy, it's passable for me since it captures the details of the in-game outfit, and the $9.99 price is much more appropriate.

^They had 3.75" Raiden for $3.00, and the x-ray 2 pack marked down to $9.99.

Shao Kahn has been popping up on ebay so maybe it's hitting stores before the next wave: And Baraka, looking better in 6" form:

Sweet I'm hoping to find a Sub-Zero next. He's definitely the best made of the first series of 6"ers. He's the only one who doesn't look "off" in some way. I didn't know FYE had 'em for ten bucks, thanks for the tip!

No Sub-Zero at my FYE. They had Cage & Raiden for $12.99 but I can get Cage at Marshall's if I get desperate enough and I'm not much of a Raiden fan. I'm really ready for Kano & Nightwolf now though, I got the fever.

It's probably a party-foul posting this here, but Jin Saotome's got the first review of Shao Kahn. He's not really a must-have character for me but it seems very solid for a Jazwares figure. Ofcourse his muscle detailing is pretty lacking like the previous releases and the helmet should really be removable, but the only real flaw seems to be some skin-tone inconsistency (which probably isn't even noticeable under standard room lighting). jinsdangerousblog.blogspot.com/2012/07/mortal-kombat-deluxe-shao-kahn.html
