Now you know how I feel. PCS never made their 7" figure, but at least their prototype looked like Kurt Russell.

Yeah, it looks cool and all. But I'd prefer David and Jack, along with a dead Jack and a few David options.

The articulation and extras are the only thing that puts this above the old Sota Toys figure, which had better detail.

I never had the old one so I'm psyched for this one. I'll definitely get at least two. Seems like Dead Jack could be something they could also do, with swappable heads and hands for the different stages of decomposition. It's been a while since I've seen the movie and I forget if his jacket changes along with his face and hands.

As he decomposes the blood on his jacket and becomes grayer as he does. The jacket itself also takes on a dustier appearance.

John Landis is a pretty shitty guy, but at least he's not his son.

I got one last week. It’s the best NECA figure in a really long time.

Think this is the first "human" figure I've gotten from NECA. Everything else I have that they've made are Predators.

I think the open-mouthed hooded head on MacReady looks the most like Russell, and the grimacing hooded head looks the least like him. I'm not looking to pic up Mac, but I do hope that this leads to them making a 7" Snake Plissken that's just as good (and doesn't have those fucked up elbows they gave Casey Jones and 1955 Doc Brown). If any of you guys wants to go on twitter and tell NECA that you love Mac and you hope to see a 7" Snake Plissken, I'd much appreciate it, ya know, 'cause Randy blocked me for...fuck, I don't even remember why, but I wanna say that it had to do with my discontent over the fact that I couldn't get a Predator 2 Elder (back in series 2 or 3) without it breaking and even the replacement they sent me fell apart as soon as I got the fucking thing, and they refused to send out another. Maybe it was something else. I don't know. Fucker has thin skin. Anyway...Snake Plissken would be awesome, and they should be encouraged to make him.

Yeah I'd be down for that. I don't do Twitter or any of that bullshit though.
Also I stand corrected in my last post because I completely forgot I have the RE5 Chris packed up somewhere.

Mac is on my shelf with the hoodless head and the sunglasses. He looks great. It has enough swappable pieces that I’ll probably grab a second one, but it sold out really fast when it hit Target a couple weeks ago. Hopefully that means sales are good all over and they’ll decide there’s enough demand to do Snake Plissken and Jack Burton if licensing issues don’t get in the way.

Escape is MGM, and Big Trouble is Fox/Disney, so that's the one that would be the harder of the two. I would hope that they made a deal with Kurt Russell to do a few figures, but my guess is that with The Thing and American Werewolf in London, they directly acquired licenses from PCS that they had essentially abandoned. Anyway, NECA should be encouraged when they do good, because it doesn't happen as often as they seem to believe.

Drove up there before lunch to check and it was a disaster back there, like a bloodless battlefield of mostly dead Funkos. But I checked the link you posted and it says there is one up there. Just paid for it, so I'll see in a while if they actually do have it. Doesn't allow orders for online shipping. Thanks! Wish I'd thought about that before going earlier. I saw one of those TMNT sets last time I was there, but it was gone today. I usually see at least one TMNT set, but there wasn't anything there. ETA: He was there. Guess it was just in the back, but he's now mine.

The main reason I want a second one is so he can wear that amazing hat. I'm gonna have to go back and rewatch the movie to see if he rocked the hat and the goggles at the same, because the goggles look cool. I can hear it now... "Are you watching The Thing again?!?" "I'M DOING RESEARCH!"
My only gripe with this amazing figure is that the gloved hands can't hold the rifle very well. Other than that... *chef's kiss*

Goggles without the hat, only wears the hat in the chopper. Just watched it again yesterday after getting back with the figure.

I need to watch it again. Mainly because I love it but also to keep track of all the wardrobe changes. I did the same thing when NECA made figures of every time Dutch lost a layer of clothing in Predator.

Mac has the hat but isn't wearing it on his head at the climax of the movie when he, Nauls, and Garry are running around the camp with dynamite to "warm things up a little."

Target FINALLY got some new NECA stuff last week, and I grabbed the B&W Frankenstein figure. It's very, very good.
