Thanks again, guys. I've been terrible at checking the new boards but work has been busy and I just moved into a new place. I haven't had much time for sitting around a doing nothing on the internet. Anyway, here's a shot I took the other day for work. We were in search of the bald eagle. The best we could do was a juvenile bald eagle.

You think he's going to roast it with some olive oil and dash of sea salt?

Here's a golden oldie. I recently moved and in the move I found some old memory cards. Ran a recovery program to see what was on them. Here's one I found from Nov. 11, 2007.

Textures galore. A blind person could spend weeks exploring that figure.

Beautiful picture. Were you in a flying machine to take it? Nope. Just standing on the shoreline. The island is deceptively small and not far from the shoreline at all.

Nifty. It looks like you're somewhat elevated and far away.

Im standing about 6 feet above the water line. To give you an idea of scale, to the left of the island you can see a couple rocks. If you look just about the rock closest to the island you'll see a couple blurry objects. Those are two birds that were moving around during the 5 minute exposure. The white dot next to the second rock is another bird. The plants on the island are just bushes. The tallest, just a small tree. The satellite image was taken during low tide so it looks bigger than it really is.

Good for her. It's cliche, sure, but she must be a helluva fighter.
I love the sharp details and rich blacks in your pictures.

Thank you. I'm going to sound full of myself, but I take pride in my ability to create richly toned b&w digital photos. For some reason, in these digital days, people crank up the contrast all the way to create as many black and white tones while killing the mid tones. The world doesn't look like that and it certainly doesn't make photos look better. Here's the story on the girl if anyone is interested: www.lodinews.com/news/article_722e7e8a-2ccc-5e8b-951c-623d523d5840.html

The Sutro Baths of San Francisco. Check out the history of the baths to see what they looked like before they were reduced to ruins. Very impressive.
