Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade
4/10
I turned it off about an hour into it. Couldn't keep my attention. I LOVE the figure I have so I figured I'd watch the movie, but BLEGH! I'll keep enjoying my Panzer Cop figure...lol
UP NEXT: SAW V

Saw V
5/10
I only watched this movie because I have watched the last 4, and it was on my Netflix queue.
I hunkered down with a cold Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and hit "play"
Well, I didn't fall asleep...that's a good thing.
I just felt this franchise has "jumped the shark" if you will. Now the detective is in on the game too?? C'mon, how many accomplises can he have?
I do like the way they tied everything in, and the traps were alright.

Frank Zappa & the Mothers Of Invention: In the '60sOK for a watch documentary with only snippets of music here & there- Covers a little pre-mothers Zappa history & the albums- Freak Out, Absolutely Free, Only Money, Lumpy Gravy, Ruben & the Jets, & Uncle Meat (1966-1969) with just a bit on Weasels & Burnt Weeny Sandwich - Interesting, but I doubt I'll watch it again soon~ Frank Zappa & the Original Mothers of Invention 1967 - 1969 (a film by ed seeman)Great Stuff! 97% music against a 60s style, lysergic influenced film- Highlight (for me) was hearing the original Capitol 8-track version of Lumpy Gravy (side two only ) &- a bit of a bonus- the DVD ends with the Frank scored Luden's Cough Drop (TV) commercial- This one I want to watch again today~ trailer- Zappa Plays Zappa (2007 tour) 2 DVD's of great music- I usually don't care for cover bands- especially Zappa cover bands- but these guys really work at it................... rated 8.5/10- would have been a 9.25/10 if it was all instrumental

Reign over Me 8/10 This movie to me was Adam Sandler's best work ever(I know it's not saying much because his other movies were mostly comedy) Don Cheadle and Sandler work great off of each other, and I really enjoyed the story. Talk about heart wrenching
We Own The Night 7/10
Not a bad little flick here. Overdone story line, but I thought they pulled it off well. Always a sucker for Phoenix and Wahlberg. Not to mention Eva Eva Eva

Wanted 7/10
I thought it was a pretty cool concept of a movie, thought the train scene was lame, but that can be forgiven. Of course Angelina was smokin.........

HULK 7/10
A lot of people loved this movie, but I felt it was "meh" Didn't keep my interest the whole way through. I fell asleep 2 or 3 times during the final battle only to wake up and go "oh, they are still fighting"
A million times better than Ang Lees debacle, but not as good as I expected.
Is it me, or is Liv Tyler getting pretty rough looking?

Here's a bunch-
Killer Movie 4/10 Just another Teeny Booper Killer In A Mask Slasher Flick...... not for nothing, but if you're going to make a TBKIAMSF, you really should throw in lots of teeny bopper nudity~
Against the Dark 0/10 Steven Segal's worst movie ever! A waddling embarrassment
The Lodger 5/10 OK for a watch, I guess- unlikable cast & predictable ending............
popped in Alfred Hitchcock's 1925 version after & it was kinda cool seeing what was borrowed from it for the remake- The first scene with 'The Lodger' (himself) would have made a great 'Silent Screamer'!
Red Mist 6/10 Starts off like any number of 'I saw what you did' flicks but then gets (kinda) interesting- Nothing I'd buy
Splinter 8.5/10 (on the Sci-Fi channel) this flick ROCKS! Can't wait to see it uncut & commercial free!
Screamers: the Hunting 8/10 Waay better then I was scared it was going to be &
Midnight Meat Train 9/10 Holy Cow! Some brutal stuff in here..... the ending could have used a little work- but real close to a 10/10............
I'm going to have to reread the short story tonight~

I guess I can't really say I "saw" this whole movie because I turned it off 45 min into it.
2/10 Batman: Gotham Knight
I was really excited to watch this compilation and then really pissed when it sucked......I could even struggle through the 1:15 min timeline for this thing.
BOOO
On the other hand, yesterday I FINALLY got some free time to see
GRAND TURINO 9/10
I love Clint Eastwood pissed off, and that's what this whole movie was...lol. I could have done without the sometimes overboard racial slurs, but that set the movie I guess...Would have like some more action, but was happy with the ending.....

Not a movie, but I popped in Disc 1 of Generation Kill and made it ALMOST to the end of the first episode, then I fell asleep......too slow for me
I won't rate it because I heard the series was good, but if I can't get grabbed in the first episode, out it goes....
