Man, I had a thin crust Domino's with white sauce, salami and spinach last night, and I've decided I would like to eat that forever.

*BUUUURP!* Threw some of the smoked shredded pork into a pot with some chicken stock, diced jalapenos, white kidney beans, onion, green tomatillo salsa, corn, garlic and various spices. Let it simmer and thicken a bit, and it was so fucking delicious.

Sounds good and I'm sure it is delirious but that honestly looks like the results of a bad hangover.

Beef barbacoa with Mexican rice, but instead of a tortilla I'm using a spicy paneer cheese bread to eat with it. Supertastic.

^ You eat stuff wifespar would like. I'm not a fan of squash or pumpkin.
Found a couple steaks I forgot about in the freezer. Ran out of propane about 2 minutes after I lit the fire, so I broiled my first steaks ever tonight. Came out very nicely. Had some asparagus and parmesan risotto from Trader Joe's on the side, and it was really, really fucking good.

Had some of this at my sister's house a couple weeks ago for the first time, and couldn't wait to get some and make my own. Usually I make mine from scratch, but this kicks its ass up the street and back. Easy chili mix. Comes in a little bag like charcoal, has a pouch of thick sauce and a pack of spices. Put it in the slow cooker for a few hours and it rocked. Only used half the packet of seasoning and my lips are burning. So dadgum good. Wish I had my cowboy tin plate and awkwardly large wooden spoon to eat it.

Grilled steaks and had them with an incredibly tasty, spicy chimichuri rice from Trader Joe's, and a salad. Washed it down with a Heavy Lift Vehicle IPA, and wifespar had a Big Leaf Maple beer.

Tacos are one of the necessary fuels of life. Anyone who eschews the taco ain't fuckin' human. They're a lizard person.
Made little turkey paninis with muenster on English muffins, with kernel corn and Brussels sprouts in buttery sauce.

Smoked a turkey a few weeks ago. It was so good that way. Tonight I plopped these little suckers in the smoker for a couple hours. Brined them for a while and they came out super juicy.

Made burgers using grass-fed beef for the first time tonight. Supposed to take about 30% less cooking time, and I thought I did okay, but they were really fucking pink. Put them back on for about 4 more minutes and they still were very pink in the middle. I ate mine, but Wifespar's had to cook even longer and was still too pink. The beef can dry out really easily, so I was trying to be cautious, but it'll take a little more practice to get it right. I did fine with the grass-fed steaks we had a couple weeks ago.
The grass-fed stuff is supposed to be fine to eat raw, straight out of the package, so I wasn't worried about that. But I've never been a pink burger kinda guy.
Anyway, we topped them off with fresh roasted hatch chilies done locally, and onions. Pink, but it was fucking delicious.
Trying to work in more organic food into our diet, especially produce. The beef we've had has been incredible too.

Hey, Knocks!
Tonight it was a spicy beef stew we let slow cook all day. Tender beef, quartered creamer potatoes, parsnip, green beans, corn, carrots, peppers and rice.

Was given a big jar of homemade spicy pumpkin soup with french bread for dipping. Topped it with spicy roasted pumpkin seeds.

I forgot, we checked out a new outdoor mall that opened in Marana last weekend. To no real surprise, it's just a fucking mall and it pretty much sucks like every mall, but there were a ton of food trucks there. Opted for Venezuelan fare and got chicken arapas and an order of cachapas. The arapa (wrap) was just spicy chicken in a fried bread wrap with a sauce of avocado and cilantro. The cachapas was a sweet corn and cheese frico kind of thing. It was all delicious and I wish I'd taken pics. They were all out of empanadas.
