Why does that matter? I've been a rabid Apocalypse fan for 20 years and the most it's gotten me is called a person who has bad taste in comics. Now that it's cool am I gonna get more dates and stuff? No? Then, fuck twitter! Trends are meaningless and can suck a boner.

If trends on twitter could suck a boner, they wouldn't be meaningless at all.

Wifespar just read a thing about mailbox flags. She looked up to see if you could paint them different colors, and found a page where someone asked. As is typical of the internet, people don't fucking read, they just react. So some zealous, reactionary twat got all bent out of shape about someone wanting to destroy the US flag. Ugh.

That's the problem. In a format that's almost exclusively text, the reading comprehension skills of sooooo many people are fuckimg zero. Come to think of it, something else I really hate is articles on many news sites being presented as videos instead of actual articles. I just end up skipping those, because when I'm browsing an article section, I'm in the mood for reading. I know the internet is also half video, but I feel like that's taking over thanks to the poor reading skills of the majority of users.

I hate that too. The auto-play videos at the head of articles are also shit. Another gripe for me that goes with that is the seemingly total disappearance of editors with the advent of journalists who can publish everything they want on their own. The writing is often shit, and the errors are many. If you're going to fucking graduate from journalism school, be a fucking capable journalist.

I'm with you two, the last thing I want to see is some loser who is better off sitting in front of a computer than being in a video giving me a video recap of something I can read myself.

What I really hate: When the words of someone IRL get taken out of context and misunderstood and a whole bunch of people get up in arms over it. I don't even care, usually, what the person is talking about - I could agree or disagree - but it's so annoying seeing people complaining about something that they didn't even comprehend correctly. for example, Adam Sandler told Jimmy Kimmel on his show that, ever since he did it on 50 First Dates, he's been convincing the producers/directors of his movies to relocate the sets to tropical locations so that when they're filming, it feels like a vacation. A Joblo article was sensationalistically titled, "Adam Sandler admits his films are paid vacations". In the comments, people were going nuts, not realizing that A. It was a half joke or B. That wasn't even really what he said. I don't care whether or not he really said that, but people getting so worked up over something that wasn't even said is just idiotic. I know this happens IRL a lot, too, but it's easier to run into on the internet. What I love: Being able to discuss things I love with other people who love those same things, when there's no one else I know IRL who likes those things. But Adam Sandler is the most cynical person in Hollywood. He's terrible and I bet you he was totally sincere. Also, I love reading a bunch of film related articles. But I hate Bronies/MRA/PUA/misogynists
