Anybody else see these things? They started out as a recreation of the cancelled 3.75" Alien figures from the 70s, but now they've announced TONS of new licenses in the same retro style. Predator, Terminator, Back to the Future, Firefly (!), The Rocketeer, Hellraiser, Nightmare Before Christmas, Escape From New York, Scream, Nightmare on Elm Street, The Goonies, Pulp Fiction, Buffy, The Crow, Halloween, and Universal Monsters. I may just to have to start a collection of these. They look awesome. www.cooltoyreview.com/story/front/Funko_x_Super7_New_ReAction_Figures_Revealed_156520.asp

Do not want. It's one thing if they are vintage, and the Alien line was one thing, but this whole idea just screams hipster douche collector to me.

You can play with them while listening to that uber rare Echo and the Bunnymen vinyl EP you got in the Village.

I have the Alien figures ordered, and the Firefly figures are an instabuy, probably Rocketeer too and some of the Goonies. And Pulp Fiction and Pinhead. And the Predator too because fuck it these figures look awesome.

Will you keep them carded? For these the packaging seems like a big part of the appeal.

Got my alien today its awesome. But i think this motif only works with things that came out on the 70s. I might get a few of the others though. Would be cool to see a Blade Runner line

^That's a good point, and some of the licenses will look especially weird in that style. Pulp Fiction just doesn't lend itself as well to that 70s style as Terminator or Back to the Future, but it's probably still one of the sets I'll order. I'll have to see photos first.
And yeah, Deckard and Batty from Blade Runner would be perfect for this line.

There are certain lines that I'd rather see in full collector format first, Like firefly. But I will wait to see the pics, it seems that if the movie has a vintage sci-fi look, then it would fit this style. Pulp fiction definitely seems out of place

^ I wonder of they'll use the same head for the Mal Reynolds figure?
And I've already preordered the Firefly set without having even see pictures. That's how awesome Firefly is.

They'll use a Michael J. Fox looking head on Mal, brilliant way to avoid paying for likeness rights.

Yeah, they look like dollar store knockoffs, they might as well all have names like it: Crocodile Pelton from Surviving Chicago; Sally O'Connell, Kal Rice, and the D400 Metalskeleton from The Destroyer; Jake Corpsingham and Sarah from Tom Fulton's A Good Dream Prior to Thanksgiving; The Hunter (masked, unmasked, and invisible) from The Hunter; Hal Arnold and most of the crew of the Calmness from Lightning Bug.

^ You do realize these are meant to look like they were made 30 years ago, right? Top-notch sculpting and paint apps aren't to be expected. The retro style is the whole point.

Of course I realize that...and I think it's a joke. It's one thing to finally release figures based on undeveloped prototypes from 1979. It's a whole other thing to up make a whole bunch of brand new figures in that stunted ass style.

20 bucks for a crappy old looking toy. No thanks.
I paid 10 bucks for that Alien. That's a fair price for something crappy. Even purposefully crappy.
