Weird packaging is probably to accomodate Firefly's wings, and they just used the same design for the whole line.

Turns out the 5th figure for Origins series 2 is Killer Croc. I'm not sure why they kept it under wraps, he's like the second villain you encounter. I wasn't too crazy about his redesign in-game but it looks pretty good here. I don't think he was that tall though, from what I remember he should be an inch or two shorter. I probably won't mind passing on this one but it looks better than expected.

I'm surprised they didn't spread these out more, I think that covers all of the figure-worthy characters from the game. I'd love a Knightfall costume figure and Robin's multiplayer design looks great, other than that I dunno, I felt like the other designs lacked that definitive quality and Electrocutioner, Copperhead, and Shiva are pretty meh anyway. I kind of preferred Mad Hatter's costume in Origins but I'm not exactly dying to own any figure of him; even though his levels are really cool.

Asked my horrible local comic shop guy when he expects to get the DCC Arkham Origins series 1 figures in since the street date was the 22nd. He got annoyed, checked the computer for five minutes, and told me I was wrong, that was probably the order cutoff date and I wouldn't see them in stores until March. LOL they're shipping from ebay and online retailers right now, why do I even bother?

You live near Annapolis or Frederick, right? Don't you have another comic shop within reasonable driving distance?

You live near Annapolis or Frederick, right? Don't you have another comic shop within reasonable driving distance? My ex-bestie works at the coolest one so that's ruined for me. But I just go to the really cool toy store in Ellicott City instead. I just popped into this one on a whim while doing errands, I never have any luck there; the nearby FYE is more on the ball with collectibles which is just sad. I wasn't expecting to find the figures today anyway and couldn't afford them if I did, but his response was so awful it's funny so I thought I'd share.

They're making an Arkham City Clayface. That's all the named AC characters done, except Black Mask and Gordon some would argue--which I'd be cool with but they're in the game for like a minute combined, so hardly essential. The reaction to Clayface has been pretty negative and I agree, he's not lookin' too good. I wasn't crazy about the game design to begin with and this is far from accurate to that and looks much worse. The sinewey torso should just look like lumpy mud and his jaw should be all dripping into his chest. But, I'm not really planning on getting the big guys anyway simply because of space, except maybe Asylum Killer Croc if I can find a good deal.

If those crystals are supposed to represent the ice effect from the freeze grenade, DCC fucked up. If they're not...DCC fucked up even more.

I bet they panicked and made it all inaccurate because it looked like they were trying to sell a $90 bowel movement.

So there are more Origins figures coming, despite their absence from Toy Fair. This 3-pack will run $54.99. Unmasked Deathstroke would be my version of choice if he wasnt't in a 3-pack. I was deadset on getting at least Origins Batman and Bane, both look like some of DCC's best yet, but now that I've gotten behind on them the idea of skipping Origins altogether and just focusing on finishing my AC display seems like a big relief. There's just so much must-have stuff coming out these days it's getting overwhelming. Deathstroke is awesome though., both versions...

Revenge Harley! Releasing in a 4-pack with Robin, Nightwing, and same 'ol Batman from the Bane 2-pack. Makes finding Robin for a reasonable price a bit less of a victory for me, but I think everyone should have access to all of the Arkham figs. As cool as I thought a Harley's Revenge Harley would be (and it does look awesome--lack of a real cloth veil kinda sucks, but kickass gun accessory), I don't have a spot for it so there's no way I'll be buying 3 re-releases to get it.

Oh, no, I have Robin. I was saying I was proud that I painstakingly tracked one down for $35 when they're selling for $60 & $70, and that the re-release kinda kills that, but at the same time I'm glad it'll make it available to more collectors. 'Preciate the offer though, I'm still interested in Scarecrow.

I saw a few of the recent releases at the LCS tonight and I'm hoping to go back for one this weekend. It's a tough choice between Two-Face and Anarky. As far as figure quality and who's cooler in the games, Anarky wins hands-down. But Two-Face would be one of the finishing pieces in my AC display, and I haven't even started an Origins display--for a while, I wasn't even sure if I would. But Anarky's so awesome, I think I'll go with him first. I'm pretty hyped, haven't seen these in any other stores.

LOL No, I know! Even I hate me for making it sound like Anarky's better. I've loved Two-Face since I was a kid, I didn't know who the hell Anarky was before Origins. I just meant in terms of Arkham game lore so far, Anarky has had a much cooler presence. Because Two-Face didn't get to do very much. Luckily, it looks like Arkham Knight'll change that.
I do like how relevant Anarky is and I find it impressive that they actually made his manifestos well-reasoned and compelling, but ofcourse his methods for justice were equally as effed as the injustices he was fighting. It mirrored my exact feelings on Anonymous, so it was just as much fun hearing his speeches on how corrupt Gotham was as it was laying the Batsmack down on him for trying to blow it all up like an asshole lol. He turned out to be a surprisingly cool and interesting character.

If you like Anarky Raz you should check out Beware the Batman. He's not the same as he is in Arkham but they make him a good foil for Batman.

I'm glad they differentiated it from V For Vendetta, I thought it looked pretty goofy at first too though. I think the voice acting is what makes it work.
