Just read on Cool Toy Review that Mezco's doing Breaking Bad action figures. Not sure the show really lends itself to figures but I'm interested to see how they turn out. I saw that ChrisM took awesome pics of Mezco's first Walt figure. It looks really good, better than I expected, but the legs kinda have a grandfather from King Of The Hill thing going on.

Looks nice. And the inclusion of alternate heads and hands makes it pretty darn tempting.

Marvel Select comic Winter Soldier looks like they took it to the HNL. Now how 'bout a new Punisher of this quality. And Cable.

DCC New 52 Red Hood (digital sculpt preview). Might be my first non-Arkham purchase from them, maybe. And I'm not familiar with Arsenal but he looks cool:

Arsenal does look cool. He was originally Speedy, Green Arrow's obligatory Golden Age teen sidekick. Got hooked on smack, GA booted him out, cleaned up, joined Teen Titans, JLA, started another group, and works for the government. Uses guns and arrows.

Oh cool, I didn't know it was the same character. He's basically the same as my DC Universe Online character, they totally copied off of me. I'd heard of Speedy thanks to his famous drug story. On the live-action show we've only known him as Roy, but he just officially became the sidekick at the end of tonight's episode. He looks much cooler with red hair though, ofcourse. I saw some pages from his New 52 book, Red Hood and The Outlaws, and it looks like my kinda comic--you know, because badasses.

Definitely. I just want a Bradstreet t-shirt Punisher with a sculpt that's worthy of the source material and more than five points of articulation. The last Select Punisher was made in 2002, sure it's been re-released and sure I'd consider buying it if I found it in a store, but it's time for a definitive version.

I've been pretty good about avoiding import stuff but these have me a little concerned. Figma's are usually around 5" scaled aren't they? I hope the joints on Sadako stay that ugly.

Eww nice hair display for the Ringu girl. Screw the backlash, that movie still freaks me out in the best way (well, the remake, haven't seen the original).
Pyramid Head will be insanely popular.
I'm not sure about Figma scale, wish I knew.

Todd is releasing Walking Dead legos. They're kinda neat, because instead of bland surfaces they have fully painted textures. It seems more like a stealth way to release playsets since playsets don't sell anymore but building block sets do. Pretty smart, but it'd be totally brilliant if they made them to scale with the 5" figures instead of introducing a new scale. The idea of creating giant zombie attack scenes like the ones set up at toy fair is intriguing though. The Daryl chopper set's $20, governor's room is $30, prison tower's $65. Pricey. The blind bag figures are $2.99 though. Dammit, that's a really fun way to spend three bucks... news.toyark.com/2014/07/24/mcfarlane-walking-dead-building-blocks-sdcc-2014-130395

Here's something surprising: those actually look pretty neat, and that's a pretty good approach to getting people to buy them.

That was exactly my thought, I don't think I'd be able to pass on picking up one of those blind bagged figs up for $3 every time I go to walgreen's.

I just discovered a couple neat little "Aliens" trinkets that are coming out this fall from Diamond Select. An 8" xenomorph coin bank that could pass for a cool bust. $22 And a pulse rifle bottle opener you can stick on your fridge. $18 EDIT: Turns out they already have a xeno head bottle opener out and from the amazon reviews it sucks at opening bottles--but it does make a great magnet lol. I'd love to have both on my fridge but $18 magnets is insane.

Dream figure alert! I never thought they'd do a Select retro Cable. Maybe they noticed that everyone was turning their Winter Soldier's into Cable.

Seriously! I'm even more glad I got that MS Deadpool now. I love the MU Cable but this is the look I've always dreamed of having with a sweetass sculpt.

If they were really going for Liefeld accuracy they would've sculpted teensy-tiny little hands and feet.
