Trust me, you want Dusty! With his real cloth cape & badass breathing mask alt head he's easily my fav so far. He has the coolest guns out of all the ones I've gotten so far too.
And I'm holdin' out for the upcoming Duke, like 3 waves away, he looks great.

Dusty will probably be there until an employee steals him. They've had the same DC figures forever.
I remember when Star Wars figures first came out back in the 90s, I found most of mine at H-E-B. It was great because I'm sure I was the only one buying them, forcing them to have to get more and getting everything that was out.

I need Low-Light and Shadow Tracker from this wave.
Decided recently that I want to get a Dusty and Duke from the first wave...
After those, I'm caught up until the new stuff.
Also, this thread could go ahead and be changed into the Official GI Joe thread...

^"New G.I. Joes Are Awesome" stays, we don't need a buncha generic thread titles like a buncha stupid robots!
Anyway what's up with the Low-Light wave? I've never seen a line hit stores so sporadically, unless they're selling out constantly while older figs sit on the pegs.

Don't start that shit. I've got no problem with Joes, I just never got into them. You either like one or the other. Speaking of did you see how fucked the sequel is, more so than the first movie. Only three actors are coming back.

^Start what shit?
And yeah, sounds like they're doing exactly the opposite of what everyone wants for the sequel.

The whole, which is cooler, transformers or gi joe. I saw your stupid robots comment, and besides my thread that has them listed is for everyone to use, so as to make looking for things easier.

I believe he mistakenly thinks you were talking smack about Optimus and company.
Ah, yup. Razz used the word "robot" in a generic sense. Read the comment again. No Transformer diss involved.

Can't see why. You knee-jerked on that one. Nothing directed at Transformers.
"we don't need a buncha generic thread titles like a buncha stupid robots!"
He's suggesting a robot - not of the Transformer kind - might find impersonal and bland thread titles more appealing than those with some flair to them. That's all.

LOL I wasn't bashing Transformers, I have nothing against them. I just meant we shouldn't make our thread titled generic like we're machines devoid of creativity. Funny misunderstanding.

I glazed over the "like" besides I'm being preemptive someone was bound to say one or the other is better or sucks. They are both awesome in their own ways.
So fuck you to the person who is thinking it and has yet to trash this thread with your petty thoughts.

I got into Transformers late for some reason. I've loved the G.I. Joes since I was like 3 but with Transformers I'm a Beast Wars man.

You haven't missed much then. G1 is great and classic, but the best story in the whole series was the '86 movie. If you've at least seen that then you're good. Most of the first two seasons had good episodes here and there. Beast Wars though was the best show, followed by the recent Transformers Animated and the current Transformers Prime.
G2 was nothing, and the other series in the last few years were cheap ass shows done by both the US and Japan. The G1 comics (around the 50th issue) were really good though.

Also I view Beast Wars and Beast Machines as separate entities. Beast Machines is really good on its own but as a continuation of Beast Wars it pisses all over everything that came before it and that includes G1 as Beast Wars is set 300 years after (then millions of years before) G1.

Never did see the animated movie, the G.I Joe one is epic. I'm sure I'll watch it someday. Beast Machines was after I'd stopped watching for whatever reason. I caught a few random episodes of it and thought it looked pretty neat though. It'll be fun to watch the whole thing (Wars/Machines) on DVD eventually, back in the day I just caught an episode here & there before school.

I've never seen the GI Joe one, although because of what happened in the original Transformers movie they changed a major plot detail in GI Joe. It's also why that movie was released on VHS because the TF movie made maybe 7 million. It made children cry apparently and parents walk out. The movie is pure awesome. Couldn't recommend it enough.

^You must be joking, the first movie was sooooo bad. I honestly don't even care about a sequel. I mean come on, Cobra Placentaface Commander!!!!! I also was unaware that Snake Eyes is invisible IN BROAD DAYLIGHT.

^Tatum makes it unbearable for me to watch unfortunately, but they did a better job capturing the silliness of the cartoon than I expected. Like you said though, should've gone further. Less Resident Evil, more Star Trek, fully embrace the campy charm instead of making everything all sleek & generic. That battle in the forest was pretty sweet though, Scarlett's first kill with the crossbow was awesome. I need to watch it on mute or something cuz I can't stand the way Tatum mumbles out his lines like a stoned Wal-Mart employee, but I think they did an okay job of bringing the fun of G.I. Joe to the big screen.

Yeah, word on the street is a lot of Wal-Mart's have stopped carrying them. That's the case with mine. Another theory is stores are waiting until closer to Easter to put out the new wave.

I went and got Dusty, but now have a legitimate complaint about WalMart.
BUT ANYWAY!
I'm digging the cape.

I don't think so. This is a toy, and a $3 difference. Getting her fired and making a crack about getting run over is pretty ridiculous. These should not be the things in life that actually bring out rage in you.
Just read a story about a woman who got punched in the head and put into a coma over a parking space. She was holding the spot for a friend, guy asked her to move. When she didn't, he got out to talk to her, she started smacking him, he punched her in the head once and now she may be a vegetable the rest of her life. Don't be stupid like those people.
Sure, be annoyed. I would. Then I'd move on. Had you gone to the customer service desk you probably could've gotten the three bucks back. The girl's gotta protect her job as well. If she rang up everything that a customer tells her it should be, and it's wrong, she's in trouble.

Just saw this. I hope that other theory is right. Wal-Mart sells them for 6.97, while Target sells them for 7.99.
